Birthday, My Last Day Volunteering, and my “Awesome” Brother.

Posted by Karla, 17 December 2014 · 1558 views

I usually try not to make a big deal out of my birthday because I’m not too into it anymore. Every time I get a year older, I get a little sadder. I don’t know why...

Anyways, my birthday was uneventful. My mom brought me some fried chicken for dinner and gave me some mousse dessert (Wish me luck walking all of that off). I wanted to go to IHOP to eat pancakes for my birthday, but they wanted to stay in and watch the Wizards basketball game. My brother, who I usually look up to, was still being an asshole, and he didn’t even wish me a happy birthday. I didn’t even see him even though he was home most of the day.

Today was a little more eventful mostly because it was my last day volunteering with Neighborhood & Community Services. Before I left, my supervisor threw a small going away party, which is quite surprising, because I broke the news to her about my leaving a week ago, I’m surprised she actually took tome to plan it. A few of her coworkers came over to my desk and we ate cake and were merry and stuff. My supervisor and her coworker gave me some small gifts before I left. (Cards, a phone charger, and a stuffed animal)

I went outside to wait for my bus, but it never came, so I ended up standing in the cold for about an hour waiting for my dad to pick me up. When I got home, my mother decided that we were going to IHOP for dinner like we were supposed to do yesterday. XD I went with my mom and dad and we had a good time. My brother decided not to come, and he usually loves going to these places. I would have enjoyed my days more if he had joined us. Oh well, there’s next year I guess…

Oh, in case you’re wondering why my brother’s being an asshole as of late…
