fail recover dropbox picasa
The problem with all these stupid computer applications "auto syncing" is when you wake up the next morning after working on your Appalachian Trail photos (finally sorting and captioning and getting the story put together) you find the folders empty, for no gorram reason. Gone from the computer. Gone from the autosynced cloud. Thank goodness I had uploaded them to Panaramio in a vain attempt to get some of them mapped. -.- The sorting and captioning and whatnot is all undone, but I still have the pictures. What the heck apps? What the heck?
In this case, I can't tell if the problem is Dropbox (where they're stored) or the Picasa I use to sort/caption/edit.

Looks like it too all my pictures of the Bonnet House Museum & Gardens too. No bloody idea what's going on. And JUST KIDDING, not all the photos made it on to Panaramio. Kelsey stalking around the trail like a tyranosaurus? Gone. gdi

GRR And it busted up the folders where other people dropped their photos too. What the ever loving crap Dropbox??

I've tried two different recovery programs so far. "Recovery" wouldn't even try. "PC Inspector" found a bunch of stuff, but the stuff it pulled down was junk. I actually tried the Wondershare thing, which found a lot, but I can't DL without paying money. Time to find a crack. It still didn't find the Bonnet House pictures, so NO idea where the hell those got off to. So. pissed.

Meanwhile, setting Picasa to upload (but not sync) every other gorram photoset I haven't backed up on my external HD. Cannot BELIEVE I hadn't done it for AT yet. I kept thinking I was going to edit them SOON. Well, I did, edit them yesterday, and BAM. Gone. I had to have forked something up. I just have no idea what. They were all there and fine when I went to bed.
