WARNING: Venting, no logic present. This is not to change your beliefs. I will never convert you to christianity, santanism, jedi-ism, haruhism, mlpism, etc.. I will also never tell you to drop your beliefs (unless you are hurting anyone under government laws).

I'm not sure if I would fall under a militant atheist or not.
I usually don't get involved, pissed, frustrated or angry until things have been pushed passed the line.
I'm all fine and dandy with people having whatever religious belief they want. It it God, the Flying Spaghetti Monster....whatever.
But I think in this day and age (at least in America) people seem to have melded religious beliefs with reality and have this notion of absolute truth and thus, feel it's appropriate to force others to adhere to their religious beliefs.
You can believe what you want and teach your children what you want, but trying to shut down and/or force educational systems to TEACH your religious beliefs as fact cross the line. So many people argue that science is evil and that it tries to prove God doesn't exist or religion wrong and that's just nonsense. That's not what science does at all.
I think a lot of people have simply forgotten what religion is. Here is a definition I wrote for one of my religious studies classes last semester.
