Satsuki presents another song parody

Posted by KaibaSama, 26 November 2014 · 174 views

It's time for,
Another Satsuki Parody!

Please welcome...Somewhere over the silver moon for adv+!
(Because of that wonderful over the moon feeling you get when you're promoted.)

Somewhere over the silver moon, way up high

There's a land that I heard of once in a lullaby
Somewhere over the silver moon, member bars are rainbow
And the promotions that you dare to dream really do come true

Someday I'll wish upon a codex member
And wake up where the blue bar is far
Behind me
Where no user perks melt like lemon drops
Away above the advanced
That's where you'll find me

Somewhere over the silver moon rainbow userbars fly
Avd+ fly over the rainbow. Why then, oh, why can't I?

If happy little adv+ members fly
Beyond the rainbow why, oh, why can't I?

Warning: Do not sit down really hard on the armchair of a couch

couch, pain, warning
Like the title says, I did this at a friends house while waiting to go to the Renaissance festival. It wasn't too bad that first day, I could still walk, but it hurt a bit to sit down. It continued to get worse, though. Now it hurts to walk, it's hard to find a comfortable position for sitting, and "getting up"? HA! I have to roll over just to get out of bed now because it hurts too much to sit up normally. As soon as the pain radiates from my tailbone I'm very quickly sitting up straight. Hopefully this will clear up by the end of this week. Unfortunately, ice doesn't really help too much because there isn't much of a bump or bruise there, so it seems internal.
The fact that I can't walk makes everything worse, because I'm constantly running up and down our school stairs. Sometimes I have to run from the bottom up to the 6th floor, which is a huge flight of stairs.

Let this be a warning: Look before you sit down on a couch.

Carnegie Hall!

choir, yankee candle, fundrasing and 2 more...
For my senior year of high school, our choir (along with our orchestra and wind ensemble) will be preforming at Carnegie Hall from April 11th-14th. This is going to be a really fun trip and a great opportunity to perform at one of the most iconic music halls across the US! However, trips cost money (of course), and this one is no different.
The holidays are coming up, (yes I know it's only September), but soon we'll see the turkeys in the stores and almost at the same time as those show up, the Christmas decorations.
Yankee Candle is a well known candle company in Pennsylvania (not sure about other places), and they help out a lot with fundraising.
If you like their candles, or gift wrap, or air fresheners, all I'd like to put here is that you do not buy their products from a store this season! Instead, please get those wonderful candles online, more specifically here, as getting them online gives me 40% of the profit for the tip, instead of it all going to the company,
(You'll need my seller ID as well)
Group Number: 990068389
Seller ID: Airen77
Thank you! :)
I just thought'd I'd leave this here incase any of you enjoyed this companies candles. (They smell quite delicious).

(I'm pretty sure this isn't against our rules, as I didn't find anything against it but if it is, feel free to remove this).

Adventures in Neurology

neurology, collapse, hospital and 1 more...
I had a seizure due to my medication in January of 2013. The MRI was fine, the EEG* and Video EEG* were both fine. Nothing wrong with my brain in any way...until now.

I randomly collapsed second period, which is around 9:02am. I had felt perfectly fine before I collapsed, just casually working on my English homework. I had also slept fine the night before. After waking up on the floor, there was a large termor running though my arms. It took our school nurse at least 5 minutes+ to get there, because her office is now in our science wing, which is not connected to the main building. (The schools undergoing renovations).
I was a bit disoriented for about 5 minutes. I sort of knew I was at school, but still had some trouble recognizing things. I went home and everything was fine, except for a small fever of 99 degrees.

The next morning: I eat breakfast and start to walk to school, and then become mildly disoriented during the walk. Just things seeming a bit out of place and some fuzziness. It went away by the time I got to school which was about 30 minutes later. Then again, around 9:02, 2nd period, the disorientation comes back.

After a trip to the neurologist, I now have to have another EEG to find out what the heck is going on with my brain. At first they thought it might be the medication, which I was allowed to go back on because it only caused one seizure and I'm not seizure prone. For some reason, it was supposed to be at 100m and we had it at 200m, but that's because we don't remember the neurologist from January ever saying anything about a dosage. I'd been on that 200m dosage for about a year now, and it has never caused any problems, so the neurologist (the new one from the collapse), doesn't think it's the mediation that caused my collapse.

On Monday, it'll be back to Children's Hospital to have them stick gunk in my hair to keep the nodes for the test on. That stuff took days to come out the last time.

Hopefully, this time we'll get some answers and not a "nothing seems to be wrong ", when it looks like something is actually wrong.

*An EEG is a test where they look at brainwaves. They flash lights, have you blow on a pinwheel, and you sleep (so they can see what your brainwaves do when you're asleep), to test for any kind of seizure or other neurological disorder. For the sleep part, you do have to be sleep deprived the day of the EEG.

* A video EEG is the same as a normal EEG, just done overnight in the hospital where they watch you with a camera. (No cameras in the bathroom though).
I had to have mine because I wasn't sleep deprived the first time they did the EEG, and thus part of the test wasn't done.

Computer repair rant #3 (I think)

Posted by KaibaSama, 22 August 2014 · 276 views
repair, computer, apple and 1 more...
Got my macbook back and guess what?
Huge chip taken off the right hand corner that wasn't there when I sent it in
Webcam repaired when there was nothing wrong with it (I'm going to guess they broke that too)
Spinning Beach Ball of Death constantly and constant slowness

My computer isn't usable now because of this constant slowness. I can't send it back either because I need it for school, but not being able to use it is better than waiting 3+ weeks to see what they broke this time.

All I'm running is Chrome and it gives me that stupid ball every 10 seconds. I have no idea what they did to my computer but it's never been this slow before, not even when it was broken. If it has to be fixed again, I don't care anymore about price. All I want is a guarantee that my computer will be repaired correctly, and quickly, which is what I'm not getting from my repair company. The company isn't even an authorized Apple retailer/computer fixer!

A word of warning, if buying anything and they offer you a Sevice Net Warranty, don't get it. You won't get anything repaired correctly and repaired quickly. (I've checked their customer reviews, I'm not the only one who has gotten crap from this company).

grandparents, rude, family
We all have them, but sometimes they're not that great.
Mine grandmother is ok most if time,but...
1. If you buy something and you like it but she doesn't it gets taken back (never mind that you liked it)
2. She buys something that you hate, that you've said you don't really like (Never mind that you hate it and won't ever wear it)
3. She comments on everyone's fashion issues
4. She constantly calls my cousin fat even though she isn't anywhere close to it
5. She continues speaking on subjects we've told her we don't want to discuss
6. She can't figure out why you shouldn't say this out loud "is his wife white or black?"
My mom always says on trips that we always try and do what I want but that's wrong. We always do what my grandma wants.

chewing, sounds, smacking and 1 more...
You all saw my status upate about peopling chewing. Well, my annoyance actually has a name to it. Misophonia is when small everyday sounds cause an acute reaction in you.

I have this. I can not stand being in the same room as my mom when she eats her jaw pops all the time, I want to strangle people over loud crunching notices, and I detest, absolutely detest, the sound of smacking.
I want to punch things, scream and strangle people when I get set off. And sometimes I can't tell them, "for the love of god stop smacking/chewing/crunching/ect!!!!" So I suffer in silence, digging my nails into my palms and trying to pretend I'm somewhere else. (Which never works by the way)
How hard is it to eat with your mouth closed??? (Which can be the source of the sounds, usually the source of loud smacking).
How bloody hard it is to not chew like you're a tiger ripping the skin of an animal?
If you are behind two closed doors and down the hallway and I can hear you...YOU'RE BEING TO DANG LOUD. I should not be able to hear you eating/chewing/slurping/smacking from another room!

And when you're on a flight that's 3 hours long, and they just won't stop. It's torture. I want to throw myself out the plane window.

Apparently Tomo gives a question like this:
Where does the Tidelord live?
A. A Pineapple (not the answer, just an answer choice)

So, I made a paradoy because apparently the Tidelord lives in a pineapple under the sea!

Who lives in a pineapple under the sea?
The Tidelord!
Blue and aqua and Caribbean is he!
The Tidelord!
If oceanic wonder be something you wish!
The Tidelord!
The jump into the ocean and swim like a dragon!
The Tidelord

Adventures in computer repair part 2

mac, macbook pro, laptop, repairs
By now, most of you have heard that my computer breaks...alot....
We sent it in 3 weeks ago to be repaired and got it back today. The work form says they replaced the keyboard and logic board.
However, upon start up the fan sounded like a jet engine and continued to do until the computer was shut off. Due to that, I took it in to Apple. Only to find out that the logic board, the part they say they fixed, IS STILL BROKEN. The fans were acting up because it was taking up far too much of the CPU's power. (Plus the whole computer was slow, slow graphics, spinning beach ball of death....). The logic board is the heart of my computer, making this a very large issue.
Now I have to send it back again. I have a trip comming up in 10 days, I have online school work to do, and many other things. Now I'm probally going to have to wait another three weeks to get it back. Hopefully, they actually repair it correctly this time and don't break anything.

Another 50

questions, 50, again
How old would you be if you didn’t know how old you are?

18 which is actually my current age. I'd choose that because I'm not old enough to make an ass out of myself drinking, but I'm old enough to drive/vote and go to college.

Which is worse, failing or never trying?

If life is so short, why do we do so many things we don’t like and like so many things we don’t do?

Because we don't have the time to do what we actually want to do.

When it’s all said and done, will you have said more than you’ve done?

What is the one thing you’d most like to change about the world?

Make magic real

If happiness was the national currency, what kind of work would make you rich?

Being a dean of medicine somewhere.

Are you doing what you believe in, or are you settling for what you are doing?

Both sort of. Believe in first, settling second.

If the average human life span was 40 years, how would you live your life differently?

Do a whole bunch of stupid things.

To what degree have you actually controlled the course your life has taken?

I'm a high school student who lives with her mom.

Are you more worried about doing things right, or doing the right things?

Doing things right.

You’re having lunch with three people you respect and admire. They all start criticizing a close friend of yours, not knowing she is your friend. The criticism is distasteful and unjustified. What do you do?

Defend the friend, and then possibly agree with some of it.

If you could offer a newborn child only one piece of advice, what would it be?

Don't be an idiot when you're older.

Would you break the law to save a loved one?

Depends on the law I'm breaking.

Have you ever seen insanity where you later saw creativity?

I don't think so.

What’s something you know you do differently than most people?

I think in odd ways.

How come the things that make you happy don’t make everyone happy?

Because they're not me.

What one thing have you not done that you really want to do? What’s holding you back?

Live in the UK. I'm too young, and don't have any money.

Are you holding onto something you need to let go of?

I hold grudges for a long time, but I like holding them.

If you had to move to a state or country besides the one you currently live in, where would you move and why?

California. It has silicon valley, beaches, Stanford, and it's not the right wig terror of the south/bible-belt.

Do you push the elevator button more than once? Do you really believe it makes the elevator faster?

No, and no.

Would you rather be a worried genius or a joyful simpleton?

Genius, I value smarts too much.

Why are you, you?

I was born this way. *sings*

Have you been the kind of friend you want as a friend?

Which is worse, when a good friend moves away, or losing touch with a good friend who lives right near you?

Loosing touch. The question doesn't say I loose touch with the one who moves away.

What are you most grateful for?

The internet and food.

Would you rather lose all of your old memories, or never be able to make new ones?

Lose the old ones. I have things I want to forget.

Is it possible to know the truth without challenging it first?

How can you know if something is true, if no one has challenged it to find out if it really is true?

Has your greatest fear ever come true?

No, I haven't fallen off some high place yet.

Do you remember that time 5 years ago when you were extremely upset? Does it really matter now?

I don't even remember what I had for breakfast.

What is your happiest childhood memory? What makes it so special?

Going to Australia, because they were showing Kiki's Delivery Service on TV and I saw it there for the first time.

At what time in your recent past have you felt most passionate and alive?

*blushes* Uhhh....reading smut fanfiction and...other...things?

If not now, then when?

If you haven’t achieved it yet, what do you have to lose?

Have you ever been with someone, said nothing, and walked away feeling like you just had the best conversation ever?

Why do religions that support love cause so many wars?

Because they have no idea what they're actually doing.

Is it possible to know, without a doubt, what is good and what is evil?

No, evil can have a reason. Killing people is wrong/evil, but would you kill Hitler? The greatest good for the greatest number.

If you just won a million dollars, would you quit your job?

I don't have a job.

Would you rather have less work to do, or more work you actually enjoy doing?

Work I enjoy.

Do you feel like you’ve lived this day a hundred times before?

That's called school.

When was the last time you marched into the dark with only the soft glow of an idea you strongly believed in?

I bought a flashlight with me.

If you knew that everyone you know was going to die tomorrow, who would you visit today?

My dad.

Would you be willing to reduce your life expectancy by 10 years to become extremely attractive or famous?

Depends if I'm that annoying "Oh, not them again!" like the Kardaishins (don't care how it's spelled) or not.

What is the difference between being alive and truly living?

Alive= heart beating
living= being alive + having fun

When is it time to stop calculating risk and rewards, and just go ahead and do what you know is right?

Never, because I don't want to get hurt by ignoring risks.

If we learn from our mistakes, why are we always so afraid to make a mistake?

Because we're afraid of looking stupid.

What would you do differently if you knew nobody would judge you?

Act differently.

When was the last time you noticed the sound of your own breathing?

When my nose whistles, and I don't remember when it was.

What do you love? Have any of your recent actions openly expressed this love?

Do fictional characters count? Yes, tumblr, fanfiction, my signature....

In 5 years from now, will you remember what you did yesterday? What about the day before that? Or the day before that?

No because I don't remember what I had for breakfast.

Decisions are being made right now. The question is: Are you making them for yourself, or are you letting others make them for you?

Depends if my mom wants me to do something.
