Running

weight loss running exercise jogging
Now that we're settled into our groove here in Nashville, I have begun running again. I jogged two miles this morning and 2.6 this evening. I know I'm going to be sore but it's SOOO GOOOOD.

I need to decide on a new half marathon to register for now that we are in Tennessee. Luckily the Nashville area hosts tons of races so they're not in short supply. I should probably do some 5k's before I do the half... Hmmmmm!

I'm sad that the competition is ending. I want it to keep going. I'm going to keep posting my progress here. I might get brave enough to post progress pictures eventually (probably after there is noticeable progress...) :p

Hurrrrraaaaahhhhh!!

I wouldn't worry too much about fitting in 5ks first, it's not like you're a brand new runner, you'll be back to doing that within days anyway! A half marathon is a step up distance wise and is actually something to train for and a goal to achieve so that you can maintain the motivation.

My knee is still a bit buggered so I am confined to the dreadmill. :(

That's awesome! I've always envied people that could run.

I am SO PUMPED.  Why did I ever quit?!  Ali, please don't ever quit.  I love having a running buddy, even if we are 4000 miles apart.

It sucks that you have to stick to the treadmill.  I used to own one.  Paid way too much for it, never should have bought it in the first place.  Despicable things.  How long until your knee is better?  What's your distance like on the treadmill?

Thanks!  Can you not run?

Time and effort probably, like most of us. :p Sort of the thing that if you slip, it's so hard to get back into but when you're doing it you can't imagine ever not!

Ah, I broke my knee a few years back now so I have intermittent problems with it. Just a case of slowly letting it build the strength back up and not pushing it too early. :/ Doing about 5 miles on the dreadmill, mostly because I can't face the boredom of doing any more, where as I'd do 10 a couple of times a week if I was outdoors. :(

No, I guess I never got the breathing right. Never was fun for me, and gym class was torture.

Now do to my back, I can't walk more than 15 minutes at a time. :(
