Changing my Diet

So I've decided that this low fat, high carb mostly vegetarian lifestyle isn't working for me. I think I have too much going on in my body for me to work well with so many carbs. I've been eating 1400-1600 calories a day (sometimes less) and exercising as regularly as I can manage while being pretty depressed and constantly exhausted. It's not working. I have not lost a pound in months. In fact, I've continued to gain weight. On a diet of salads and fruit. It's not working.

So, in true Nymh fashion, I'm going to go the exact opposite direction and try a high fat, low carb diet.

I've seen the success that Napiform and more recently Rocket have had with their diet changes, and I've spent much of the last two days reading and learning about what they're doing. I started changing my diet today. I did my calculations, adjusted my macros, and ate high fat and low carb today.

So let's see what happens. I'm excited to see what kind of changes I'm going to go through. Yay!

I have started skipping/eat little dinner for the past 6 month or so while keeping breakfast and lunch consistent. I also walk to work (5 mi round trip) sometimes. I have only lost 7 pounds so far. :(

 

Guess I need to go to the gym more after an exhausting day.

@jinq I think it has less to do with how -much- you eat and a little more with what you're eating.  At least, that's what I'm going off of with changing up what I'm eating.  My calories are staying about the same but I'm changing the macronutrient ratios that I'm shooting for.

 

@Rocket Thank you!  I've done really well yesterday and today with what I ate.  She is an encyclopedia, I love it! :D

What are you drinking with your meals?

Nothing, most of the time.  I don't like to drink when I eat.

 

I drink about 1/2 a gallon of water a day, though.

Thats good. I cant stand when people are dieting but they drink a monstrous bottle of coke with they salad... Soda is so unhealthy it is not even funny. I have not drank a soda in years
