File Name: Cellblock Auto Player
File Submitter: Kway
File Submitted: 14 Nov 2010
File Updated: 16 Dec 2010
File Category: Auto Players
Version: 1.0.2

This program will play Cellblock for you with only basic strategy at this point and will notify you when you get the avatar.

List of features:

  • Plays Cellblock
  • Uses a (somewhat) simple data collection algorithm to calculate best moves (currently as smart(er) as the average human that knows how to operate a computer)
  • Can beat level 8 of any tournament before 11
  • A simulator to play against my AI (with some extra settings)
  • Current board layout displayed in the simulator
  • Detects the 'Master Vex' avatar
  • Only uses the current board for calculations and does not modify it in any way. (No brute forcing or foreshadowing)
  • Uses the easy win strategy from The Daily Neopets (Advanced only and drops the strategy when the strategy is interrupted)
  • Saves and loads settings
  • Can automatically stop when the NP Limit is reached
  • Tells you when you win a trophy (or medal)
  • Tracks NP earned/lost
  • Saves the pages when you get the avatar for tracking purposes
  • Tells you when you don't have enough np to play (I forgot to put it in :whistling:)

This program is currently missing the following:

  • Does NOT support blank boards (excluding rocks). It will always make its first move in the corner.
  • Tournaments 11+ not in the simulator (see above).
  • An empty missing features list.
  • Sending in data for finding flaws or solve the mystery of the avatar.

I can NOT be held responsible if this program sucks all your neopoints from being unable to win after tournament 10. Please only keep on hand how much you are willing to risk losing or how set how much NP it should not lose more than. It is possible for the program to win but not as likely on Tournament 11 or above. Continue at your own risk...

Also, it is possible to get the avatar on Tournament 4 (Level 8) because it happened for me.

Version History:
1.0 Release
1.0.1 New strategy and cleaned up missing features
1.0.2 Bug fixes and made the cheap win strategy Advanced only

Oh God yes...
Now I have one less thing I have to do manually.
Awesomeness strikes again, and it's super effective!

Wtf? Why did that post twice?
(Yes, I know there's nothing there yet, but I'm still excited.)

You may still have to do parts of it manually.

The next version should be ready in about a week.

The code for the time feature didn't need to be touched for so I don't see why not.

anyway, playing against vex manually and leave all others to the APer can still save a lot of time:funone:

thanks again

Please only keep on hand how much you are willing to risk losing until the program satisfies the daily limit and no longer has to pay to play.

Not much of an issue really, but unless something has changed recently, doesn't Cellblock continue to charge for games regardless of whether you met the daily payout limit or not? Regardless, glad to see this program, even if I already have the trophy. I hated earning it legit and Im sure it will save plenty of irritation for others.

I just checked, you aren't charged to play once you reach the limit. The same goes for all the other php games like Neggsweeper, the card games, etc.

Kway is correct, but cellblock still charges you for some reason

It was addressed in a Neopian times many months ago, and TNT said they'd look into it. Aka shit all

Thought it was suppose to challenge your brain a little tiny bit so wouldn't it exercise your braincells?

Nice, you guys are releasing things left and right.

I love it too.

I got extremely annoyed when I had to open up a debug file to find where it currently was and how it is doing. So I pretty much shoved everything in there.

hmmm
i can see where you would think that
but it is the repetitive action that leads me to pound my head into the desk that kills the cells
cell block is just the cause - but still it is direct
O.O

Love it.

[09:07:19 PM] Got the Cellblock avatar!

That was on Tournament 6, Level 7.

As mentioned in the program description, the algorithm begins to break down after tournament 5 or so.. The program has been running for nearly 4 hours now and has yet to pass this Tournament/Level.
I've noticed that the program occasionally hangs, and I'm not able to find the Log file. I'm sure that's a problem at my end though.

All in all a great time-saver. Thank you!

I see it's up now. I'm going to give it a try tomorrow and see if it's more efficient. What exactly did you change?

Thanks for the cellblock autoplayer this is the first time I've ever gotten a silver trophy on cellblock . . . except I kind of had to learn to play the game for the last two tournaments haha.
