I've recently just started a new neopets account, and within 2 weeks I got the evil coconut, misfortune, scratchcard, tooth faerie avatars, and some others.

I was wondering if at all the random avatars actually favour the new accounts, or was I just extremely unlucky on my previous main?

I agree with you completely on this one.

On my previous main I had very few of the random avatars - I was still missing WOK, Evil Coconut, Bonju, Cheeseroller, Buried Treasure etc. Since creating my new main account, I've received the Symol Hole avatar, Bonju and Cheeseroller. Still missing a considerable few mind you but definitely feel my newer account is luckier.

I didn't care until recently. I don't know why I started wanting to get more. I just like the feeling when you see that little box on the screen saying you found a new avvie
That, and the fact that I get blasted my Snowie over and over and still no avatar is starting to try my patience >_>

Yes, the snowager avatar seem to be extremely rare. I almost get blasted twice everyday but no dice with the avvie.

Yeah, I know how to get the LOD avvie. But it is so random... Just got my Edna - Cackle avvie! Put it as my active one just now to annoy my friend. Hahas!

the coconut shy one is okay. Just use the autoplayer and play everyday. I got it within a week on my main, and on average about 1-2 months for my shells.

Yup, either way, the losses are near-insignificant. A Maximum of 2000NPs, if you're really that unlucky ;x

Neopets deny it, and they don't really have any reason to.

It's more likely an artefact of sampling.
