Pros:
More staff coming in
More expertise on how to program
Awesome programmers

NeoFreaks hasnt been heard of because they started when there were a lot of people around that were doing the same things as they were doing making them just another fish in the sea...regardless of how awsome their programs are

NeoDoom and NeoFreaks are NOT the same sites totally diffrent people behind them. It is rumored that NeoDoom was set up with a stolen credit card NOT NeoFreaks. NeoFreaks was stareted by and paid for by Freaky.

Merge is the best way to do this...since if we were to partner sites, which has also been proposed...people will ignore, no one clicks on bannner ads. Will not have the same positive results as would a merge as it is a merge.

No staff demotions. And staff promotions are just as likely as they were before. The private members from neofreaks do not get priv here :p they will have to start off as a member. Their 4 staff smod and up will be same here. We will not do a digi merge but a fair merge.

This has been in the works for awhile now. The admins have been talkin for a while. Great great friends. Worked togather on projects as well. We only want what's best for Codex so vote now :p

If you are undecided DO NOT vote no or yes as you are UNEDECIDED

Can you make it a little clearer for people who may not know.

How many staff are coming in?
What will be the status of members of neofreaks (and how do they feel)?

I would like to add it is true that they make awesome programs =P. I was looking breifly through their site and they have an ab (mainshop) and other things as well I'm sure.

What positions will you be taking?

Sidenote: Did programs just disappear?

Truthfully I voted NO only becuase I have rarely seen a helpful merger in my ti'me at any neopets/ANY site in general.  This seems somewhat decently planned though I still don't see the reason for bringing in so much staff.

If you don't want this to become a disbecausesion thread your welcome to delete my post.

hehehe I use programs someti'mes, when I play.

Of course I'm happy to make new friends but just handing people such high positions does seems unfair truthfully. I've not been around long but I see plenty of people who deserve a little boost -_^.

<Suggestion> Don't burn me for this =P
Maybe the oncoming staffers from neofreaks could do something that would ease peoples feelings about them.  I don't know maybe have them mod for a couple days without any one else helping (acutally aths bad). Or let them in as lower positions and see if people like them...I don't know I'm ok with a merger its not like I'm going to have a fit about it our get mad (I will like ncdx equally either way), but I do see some unfairness.

And I don't have any predetermined feelings towards anyone coming from neofreaks.  Meaning I neither trust them more than the average internet joe or dislike them more than anyone else I just met. I'm more than happy to make friends.

I voted yes, it's always good to have more staff :p Cos it's annoying when there isn't an admin on when you need something done :p
And to those saying it isn't fair that they become staff....well you gotta realize this is a M-E-R-G-E-R :p not a "let's give all our members to neocodex without any feasible payment" lol so yea I agree that the staff be allowed to remain staff. Also the more programmers the better I spose :p

Yes, these people look like nice people, not like NG. I looked at their board today, they seem to have mature members, therefore I vote yes. There is no reason to vote no!

I'd say go ahead and merge, it's always good to have more people on the boards and concentrate efforts!

I don't know any of these new staff members, but I suppose they're nice people.

To all of NeoCodex:

. We have taken in consideration that the priority for staff will be given to NeoCodex members. We just promoted a few of you yesterday.

. If we merge, then we will have a strong working force behind programs (and did I say we will stop promoting people if we merge? :roxsox: ). We will STILL need more staff even after the merge, since we will be bigger (get it? :) ). Soo... If you truly want to be staff, instead of reminding us about how NeoCodex is our priority (which I am well aware of), you should concentrate on being known, active, and exhibiting a sense of mod-ship. :p

No way. They want this more than codex does. This is so damned stupid. You dont realise that some people will leave when they have found out that the supposed owner is a fraud specialist? (credit card).

I cant believe this. How many members do "Neofreaks" have?

241. Found it.. And this means we're gonna I'mplement rules like digibliss?

You now need at least 40 posts to gain access to Level I programs.

You know, You act in a sense of Hate torwards us, yet we have done nothing to you and for the fact, this was hydro's idea so dont try pinning this on Neofreaks like we are the bad guys here, as far as I'm concerned its off...

Truth is, the concept of 4 persons unbeknownst to most members and yet fulfilling top staff positions here is a hard sell.

Remember that most of the active membership you built up on this forum was based on the trust that you had earned through your actions and decisions and your open interaction over the months. Your members learnt about and recognised you and thus had decided to stick with you.

Some of your best members have also transformed from placing their priorities on programs to participating in the community chatter and interaction.

A resounding NO was my vote and, oh well, homework ti'me!  :roxsox:

Well most of the staff/anybody who cares for the welfare of codex does NOT want it to go on. In our eyes, it is more profitable for you, than for us.

I am sorry for the sense of hate, but I am devoted to these boards staying as they are. For that, I apologize.

Nice post LS.
