It seems to have its perks. You could pull off playing ultratight since there's insta-fold (although I imagine 80% of the other players play ultratight too and fish would be near impossible to detect). But you could also maybe try min raising to steal the blinds and that might work out

I'm planning on signing up with ftp after I read a bit more. I think I have a pretty good foundation but I still have a lot to learn. I will no longer limp. And be more tight/aggressive

Wasn't the mongol empire centered in east asia? my 13th century history is fairly limited (eu3 starts in the 14th century )

The different hordes had different capitals. The golden horde was centered in the Crimea/Don-portage. The White horde was in Siberia. Etcetera ceterisque.
And I used to play that game, these days I mostly do HOI2 and Crusader Kings. Both are Paradox games in case you're interested.
