Alright, so my lovely Grundo is getting all trained up and I dumped a bit of cash into him last night. At the moment this is what his set looks like:


Leaf Shield


Scarab Ring


Scroll of the Earth


Golden Compass


Greater Healing Scroll


Downsize!


Purple Sticky Hand


Snowglobe Staff



I think its decent for a starter set, but I'd like to hear some other peoples input.

Not too bad, you may want to invest into some 10 iconers or higher.

Buy a charm tomorrow. They'll crash a bit tonight and if it doesn't get downgraded, you'll have a cheaper, better RotL. If your pet has defense, get a patched magic hat/sophia hat. RSB or Scomb would be nice so you have burst in case your get a freeze off.

He's level 5 atm so I'm in no rush. I might snag a Ylana's Blaster since it won't dent the bank too much.

Any other suggestions as far as weapons go? A G-Bomb might be fun...

If you absolutely must get a freezer before constants, use a Split Lenny Morphing Potion and buy an ELL. Otherwise, get your 2+ constants to at least 11-13 icons each.

My set upgrade is on pause for another 40m. I don't like upgrading one at a time so I'm going from 10m to 80m

You're right, they don't.

But I like them. And 30% dark resistance isn't awful.

Skip a freezer until you actually can do a burst with it. Then, when you upgrade your set you can be using charm, BoD+WoR, hpot, fpot/h4k/mmom.

ELL is Entangling Lenny Lasso. It's nearly a mill cheaper than the ray gun for the exact same weapon. I don't know anyone who has ever used ray gun over it.

For the freezer dont waste your np on FPot or H4K spend a little extra and get the marbles. If you want to get your attack up fast to do more damage but would throw off training for a little bit just get the Altador Strength Potions they raise attack +5 for every potion...... so for 37 mil give or take you can have 700 boost pet, but like I said itll screw your training, and yes BDing can get real expensive.

If you wanted to stay cheap though with the set get rid of the scarab ring and get another Golden Compass, or keep scarab ring as a 3rd constant

Replaced Compass and Scroll with Charm and Sword. Also dropped Sticky Hand for Y-Blaster. Saving for Marbles now

hmm, I've always considered it better to get the ghostkerbomb before an unbreakable 100% freezer, just because the snowglobe staff (for 1p) or scroll of freezing for 2p are cheap stand-ins (unless you play a lot of 2p), while the ghostkerbomb doesn't have any comparable temporary substitute.
