The original was by far the best, I was addicted to that series just like I was with DBZ! I think I watched a few episodes of other seasons of the show but none compared to the MMPR.

WOW eveyrone went with first. Green ranger was the super cool one!

Epic. I even had the Green Dragon Zord.

I'm going to re-watch the series. I forgotten how Green Ranger became White Ranger. If anyone remembers, could you refresh my memory?

Haha that's awesome. What's funny is how the bad guy waits for his dragon zord to show up before attacking. :p

First one! since pink ranger was so damned hot, plus they had dinosaurs! +2 ancient animals =p

Though Power rangers Dino Thunder might've had them too, based on its nomenclature

oo, when i was watching the green ranger video, i started wondering what happened to him, and how the white ranger was introduced...lol
I completely forgot that they were the same person...

wasn't he 'evil' at first? or at least an enemy to the rangers?
I remember him fighting them and either beating or came close to beating them.

Yeah, I read up a little, and Green Ranger was initially evil, created by the Rita witch. He destroyed Zordon, after which i don't know what happened in between. But after a while Green Ranger started losing his powers, and Alpha 5 was creating a new Ranger, which was the White Ranger, and it was to be given to Tommy. God, I need to watch this series again.

The most epic zord is no doubt...ULTRAZORD!!!!

I don't like how they went from dinosours to animals. <_<
The only cool animal was falcon. Then they had like crane and frog...

HAHAHA. That made me laugh.

White Ranger ALWAYS gets the coolest stuff. Dragon, White Tiger, Falcon, it was all his. But yeah, the frog was stupid.

damn rhexis! watching all those youtube videos you posted is making me nostalgic and wanting to rewatch the entire series again.
only thing i remember about '93 movie is their powers being ineffective thus the new powers....
As for the '95 movie, I only remember the Ooze villain being found by construction workers and taking over the city.

guess i'll be youtubing power rangers for a while =p

They were all terrible, but I watched the original because it was the terrible original. Why would anyone watch the terrible spin-off of a terrible original?

There's a reason almost nobody watch Big Bad Beetleborgs... or whatever the fuck it was called.

OMG! I remember sitting through Beetleborgs cause power rangers was after it.
I pick the first cause I grew up on that shit! But turbo was a close second.
Ivan Ooze was a awesome bad guy imho

Well no one's going to argue that the black ranger is better than the white ranger, amirite?

Although it's kinda hard for me to imagine a Hitler 'stache because of the huge weird mouth thing on the mask.
As an aside, now that I'm thinking about it, the lines on the top of the helmet make me think of Warf's forehead.

While I agree that the original (as far as English version goes) is the best, when I watched Dino Thunder a few years back I thought it was an excellent homeage to the original especially with Jason David Frank taking the role of mentor and eventually donning the Black or Gold (Black & Gold? memory is a bit fuzzy...) colors and joining the team. It was definitely my guilty pleasure watching that after so many years and "growing up". :p
Time Force wasn't too bad either nor was S.P.D. - those two really got me involved in the whole timeline & connectivity of each series. Which, for the most part is loose & next to non-existent but it's interesting when it does pop up.

Haven't really kept up with it after In Space except for those three. The (new) ninja one (storm) was kinda... well, bleh at best and the preview of Mystic Force was like "wtf".

But still, at a recent anime club meeting at college they had Toku Night and we watched Samurai Sentai Shinkenger and it was quite entertaining. I was hooked instantly and have been watching the original series since. Definitely recommend checking out the Japanese version if y'all get the chance. Kinda curious how the Engrish dub is going though... doubt there is as much killing & boozing, unfortunately. lol

Hope to see Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger dubbed though.

Completely fake. It's an old rumor that's been circulating the internet for years.
Just Google Austin St. John and nothing pops up... unless, of course, you specifically TRY to find it.
Then again, anything can be found on the internet if you try hard enough to find it - real or not is another question entirely. :p
And here's a response from the actor himself:

I'd have to say the original (Mighy Morphin) I loved it as a kid and saw it on ice when they came to town. On Ice beat all of the (awesome) movies

MMPR was racist

Yellow ranger = Asian
Black Ranger = Black + his weapon turns into a gun

I was just going to mention that. Darn you.

This is awesome:

As MMPR was good because it was original, I'd definitely pick to Time Force.
Why?

-Huge explosion killing the "most evil" cliché ending did not happen
-I personally think the characters were dynamic with the plot (love across time, sympathy for a mutant, broken father-son relationships, etc.)
-Fucking awesome clock tower hide out
-Green ranger has cool hair
-Opening theme had enough catchiness to be stuck in my head, but not enough for me to be embarrassed when I unconsciously sing it in class
-Mini Robot owl was kickass
-A baby saved the world. lolz.
