but I admit that the spamming problem can only be solved by this ,and it is more important to ban than to let spamming occur

KL points out another point that actually spamming is not just through advetisement,something like artwork .... -_- LOL

Can there be a rule of some kind that you can only have 2 trading post threads? One for buying and one for selling maybe?
It's not like you can't edit the actual thread title and I can never find my thread because it gets buried in all these repeaters.

there could be a small box (maybe a the bottom of the statuses) and it could only hold one post at a time - and this could be used for TP advertising

Yep basicly we do try to keep on top of that, if you see multiple topics just report it and the mods will probably tell the user to sort it out

Now you've gone from wanting to limit peoples update status (which hasn't fixed the issue as some people are still finding loopholes to constantly stay 'noticed' in the status window by updating with other stupid status') to now wanting to limit to what they can post? Are you trying to kill these forums or what?

Whilst I don't LIKE people with multiple selling threads, it's not that big of an issue... the only ones I really despise are the ones who post a selling thread, and instead of bumping it the next day, wait a few hours then post a NEW selling thread (it does happen). It's not hard to find your own thread. Just do a search for your thread title and you will come accross it quite easily (unless the reason you can't find it is because you use a generic thread title name and can't spot it in all the other threads).


Yes.... Yes it is. As long as your email address is the same one registered to your facebook it broadcast your feed to everyone else on codex who have registered with the same email as THEIR facebook.
