I think people are taking this status updating thing too serially. If you don't like someones status then how about moving your eyes to the left a little bit?

but I admit that the spamming problem can only be solved by this ,and it is more important to ban than to let spamming occur

Can there be a rule of some kind that you can only have 2 trading post threads? One for buying and one for selling maybe?
It's not like you can't edit the actual thread title and I can never find my thread because it gets buried in all these repeaters.

Whilst I don't LIKE people with multiple selling threads, it's not that big of an issue... the only ones I really despise are the ones who post a selling thread, and instead of bumping it the next day, wait a few hours then post a NEW selling thread (it does happen). It's not hard to find your own thread. Just do a search for your thread title and you will come accross it quite easily (unless the reason you can't find it is because you use a generic thread title name and can't spot it in all the other threads).

how about a compromise?
there could be a small box (maybe a the bottom of the statuses) and it could only hold one post at a time - and this could be used for TP advertising
