What I said was I don't find Family Guy's animation visually appealing. How does that translate to "I think South Park's animation is better"?
I don't like the way the characters on Family Guy look. Cardboard cutouts, I can handle. Stop motion animation of action figures, I can handle. But nasty bloaty fat art with such bold colors... I just don't like it.

Lately family guy has been going downhill, I find they take their jokes too far. (ex. The x-mas episode where Stewie & Brian kill parents in front of their kids. The joke was funny at the begining when the dad walked in and they knocked him out, they should have finished there.) If I watch south park too much I get tired of it, then switch to family guy and vice versa.

Family Guy was funny before it got un-cancelled. In the seasons before Fox pulled it and then DVD sales brought it back to TV, they didn't rely so heavily on clip jokes and the episodes usually had an actual plot. Also they didn't have the same apparent tendency to do things that are intended solely to be shocking (like the murder joke mentioned earlier). When it was played like your basic sitcom and the clips were not 85% of the show, it was great.

But I hate, HATE Family Guy. The animation is not visibly appealing to me, and I'm not quite retarded enough to think it's funny.

This basically. Even though South Park has been sucking these days.

1. Take current social trend
2. Combine with unfunny movie "parody"
3. Add one recurring joke

Not too crazy about SP this seaon, last seaon was without a doubt much better (especially in comparison to FG). So I'll have to say FG > SP.
As a whole? Tough call. It'd depend on my mood.
Personally I'll take American Dad over both together any day though.

Wow, if any cartoon fam guy keeps up the best. Family Guy makes the same things you see funny like Lindsey Lohan, Charlie Sheen, Miley Cyrus....South Park occupies their time talking about Jews and poop.

Family Guy is less controversial IMO and not as "mature-themed". Family Guy would be better for a network like Fox.


In general I prefer South Park as its harsher, but both are good shows. I've seen some pretty intense Family Guy episodes that were simply epic while tripping on shrooms lol.
