Well, I have one now.
I guess it's good for the novelty.

I personally love the color for the same reason they made it. I grew up playing the NES, and tended to spend way too much time doing so. For me, it's not that it looks "good" or "bad" but the fact that just looking at it reminds me of better times.

I think it's interesting.

I don't "love" it
but I give TNT credit for doing something other than just a different color

I love the looks of the 8-bit Chomby =D Looks... great haha.

Is this currently the only pet who can be changed to 8-bit or are there a few others out there
that can become 8-bit aswell.

Just imagine a Neopets world full of 8-bit pets xD

I saw on on the Pound board an 8-bit Chomby UFT. People were going absolutely crazy over it.
If they introduced Krawks in that colour, the whole site might implode :/

Looks interesting, too bad you can only get it through the Lab Ray. I'm curious as to how often they'll design the other pets in this color, there's a lot of potential I think.

Personally, I'm not a fan of the 8-bit color, but I can understand it's appeal to others. I'm also interested in what other pets they might release.

I think it is original and nice. Anybody know the next 8-bit pet and when it will be released?

I totally agree with you. My first game was probably final fantasy 6 before the turn
of the digitial century with the incorporation of advanced graphic games like final
fantasy 7. I don't think as much people born after the 1990's would appreciate it
as much. It truly is respect to the classics

Meh. Even though I grew up playing the NES, GameBoy, and SNES, I'm still not particularly impressed by the color. Maybe if they were more akin to the title screen designs and not the character sprites, I would like it better.

Yeah. Woodland, Maractite, and then yada yada yada. I feel like the last good color
is Royal. The colors afterwards aren't breathtaking. At least 8-bit is original. It truly
sticks out as a color

It's unique, but I don't think it's visually pleasing at all. D:
Royals are loved, if they made something like that again, I would joysqueal.

I like it just because it's kind of a cute idea and more importantly it doesn't use the normal art. I think 95% of all the converted pets look hideous. Only some of the ones that have modified shapes are alright. They should really just put their attention into re-doing their art instead of making boring repaints with a few tweaks as new colours. There are plenty of 15 year olds that can do a better job than this.

It would have been cooler if it were a significant upgrade in technology/realism rather than a significant downgrade.
