Judging by a few lab logs including the one on this site, would it be 'not recommended' to only train LVL and DEF with codestones with the odds of STR and HP catching up at some later point using the lab?

I'm not concerned about pet balance in the early run, but i'd thought I'd ask for second opinions. I'll try this method out regardless hoping it will turn out great in the end.

Go for it if you want... But what's the use of high Lev and Def if you have no HP or strength?

If anything, only train LEV and STR, use the lab ray to level HP and use armoured neggs to train defense.

I think thats probably a good idea since I have the problem of having a low level pet with 60+ hp....dammit labray..I guess you could try the von roo dice if the timing is right for you

Doesn't the lab ray reduce levels, too? Specifically, can't it reduce your level down to 1? That's the main reason that I haven't started training my lab ray pet. I can't train anything else until my level goes up and I don't want to waste money raising level if the ray can nerf it back to one.

Then again, it may just be that, since my level is so low, it keeps taking off one or two levels and that takes me "back to level 1" and I'm misinterpreting it.

This sounds like the best way, i think.

i've read that the chances of it reducing to level 1 decreases as you level up, so maybe that shouldnt worry you so much

not sure if i can post the link, but you can always google it

I used to use terror trove scratchcards to train level when I labbed. I think it's limited to 10 a day now, but that should still be enough to keep up with the lab's level drain.

And I've read that the level of your pet can't be reduced to level 1 anymore since it is above level 50.

If you are going for a certain build, then I suggest you start your training with the lab and eventually train the rest. This is because training eventually gets quite expensive and it will take a lot of time recuperating the losses that the lab inflicts on certain stats.

And yes, the lab has a random (but low) chance of bringing your level back to 1 REGARDLESS of your level. The lvl 50+ thing is just a rumour.

That's a shame. The level-to-1 thing really bugs me. I guess it actually isn't all that hard to get back though.

you should probly train your lvl up to 50 and other stats to 100 first then start labbing. the costs to train after your lvl gets high is pretty expensive

I agree, train your level up first before labbing.

Is that what he meant though?

I thought he meant lab the hell out of your pet, then compensate for all the damage it's done (level) after the fact so that none of your NP is "wasted."

lab and train at the same time always
assuming you are aiming for a 700 boost 1k+ hp pet, the limiting factor in training isn't np, it's time (in hrs of courses and neggs you can eat per day). in the long run labbing is like eating an extra negg per day, and should be used daily no matter what level your pet is at.

That makes sense. Although, none of this matters because I haven't actually gotten around to BUYING my lab map yet... Posted Image

I think that labbing + Armoured-Negging is the chapst wy of training.
Sooner or later (later than sooner), the lab will end up making it Boost 700, and since the only stat that the lab really nd up decreasing is defence, so A-Negging would actually end up raising defence.

But it would be really slow :(

Training with codestones + labbing + negging is the way to go.

it's actually lvl 20.

If your pet is at lever 20 or higher the lab can't reset your level to 1
