Just wondering, most movies that have sequels are usually fail or just not as great as the original
How many movies fit this catergories to you guys?
Iron man 2, Fast and furious 5 and so many others, they are good movies but just not as great as the original
i think to me the only one that was good is probably the lord of the rings trilogy

The Dark Knight. Hands down.
LOTR TTT and ROTK technically weren't sequels, LOTR was one epic story broken up into three movies.

Actually, the real sequels I've seen (Movie Name 2) have all sucked. I loved Ironman, I can see that sequel not disappointing me

the answers all seem to be movies that werent made within the last 5 years with a few exceptions
it just kinda seems like a lot of the ideas have been done before or so and its very hard to make sequels kinda why i cringe every time something releases a movie and hope for the best that they are good

The Ring two was BETTER than the first "The Ring" imho
After seeing the first "Pet Cemetary" I was VEERRY disapointed with the second one... (there was another even better example, but i can't remember the name lol)
Also does anyone else love Scary Movie 2 more than the other Scary Movie movies?

Of all the sequels I've seen, only LOTR was as great as the original. Every other sequel seems to fail really hard. None failed harder than the sequels to the Matrix, imo...

yea i agree lotr and all its sequels were great but thats probably cause they were part of a trilogy and arnt "real" sequels persay
