I can empathise though. Guys don't really do it for me physically, but I could fall in love with one (and have before). Girls are hot, but most girls annoy the living shit out of me. It's just a matter of finding the right person. You might find a guy that you like physically, or you might find a girl who you can get attached to. Trying to define whether you're one way or the other for the purposes of a label is pretty pointless in this regard.

I, er... y'know... heard from a friend of a friend... *cough*... that it doesn't really work as well as porn likes to pretend. It's just kind of awkward to get in a position that works for both sides.

Doesn't really matter if it doesn't result in an orgasm though. Sex is (or should be) about a little more than just a straight away track to getting off. Have fun along the way and enjoy being that close to someone you love... maybe? Or am I the weird one here. :|

I know what you mean; I'm not really attracted to guys or girls thus looks have very little baring on my interest; yet I would consider having a relationship with either gender. Girls generally are more high maintenance and crazy at times, but are generally better to be in a relationship with i.m.o. Guys have a lot less drama and a lot more "Chill" but generally just don't want to talk about serious things. And in my case if I"m dating a guy it would mean we're a gay couple and that just shifts the balance towards very complicated things O.o

And yes I have straight out asked a hardcore lesbian I know and she says scissoring is bull. She says sex is more rubbing and touching and romantic between two girls, and does this *lifts legs in air* look romantic to you? *pelvic thrusts* :p It was a pretty funny moment xD

Low maintenance girls exist, they're just rarer. My girlfriend and I both look at other girls in utter bewilderment at some of the shit they get up to, lmao. Sensitive guys exist too! I could totally introduce you to some sensitive, deep-and-meaningful guys. ;)

But you're right, the gay couple thing is complicated. I'm lucky to have totally accepting parents.... but my girlfriend's family members are somewhat conservative Catholics. Among a myriad of other issues. She's Canadian though, so at least back there there's equality in the law...

This.

Sex is pretty grotesque when you think about it. :p

Oh I realize they exist :p Many of my friends aren't that high, but in general just more-so than guys who sometimes just want to be left alone xD And they don't get emotional once a week every month (not as much anyway). And I'm one of those "sensitive guys" you hear about xD Why I get along pretty well with girls but not with douchebag guys *rolls eyes*.

Well it only gets complicated if I make it complicated. I.e. since I don't really have a preference I might just stick to girls *shrugs*. I don't even really think about it since I'm not even looking. And woooo for Canada :p But the States is making progress with that idea.

Not only is sex grotesque, genitals in general are gross looking for both genders. Ugh.

I actually have a lot of guy friends that I talk with about everything, and have more meaning conversations with them than with the girls I talk to. Really, I'd consider dating either one of them, I'd just have to meet the right person first. Im friends with a few gay guys that I openly flirt with just as soon as I flirt with the girls I know. To me, it doesn't really matter, as long as I connect with the person I'm talking to.

Asexual =/= abstaining.
I simply have no desire to have sex with anyone.

A lot of people don't think this way however, for some men foreplay could just be a means to make the sex seem longer if they have ED or some shit. Same goes for cuddling. I like enjoying it as well, don't get me wrong, but tribby dibby aint gonna do it if you need a quickie. amirite?

^ This applies to me too.

Buuut I'm straight...I think? I mean, since I don't actually like to spend (non-drunken) time with other girls.
Or maybe bi-curious? What's it mean when you don't mind messing around w/girls but only if a guy is there too?

That's bar-sexual, girlee.

I'm one of the only 4 homos here. :p

Well, you're the one that's claiming sticking a dick in is the only thing that qualifies as sex...

Sexuality is a little more complicated than that. A lot of women aren't gonna get off without some form of foreplay, too. Generally speaking if it's a quickie where both the guy and the girl get off, there's some kind of mental or situational foreplay going on (getting excited by teasing each other on the way home... sexting while at work... whatever). And I'm sure a lot of people see orgasm as the goal/end point/only point/something, but I think if all you want to do is shoot your load you're missing out.

Maybe I'm weird. I spend more time thinking about making my partner feel good and enjoying the experience as a whole. I don't really understand this kind of mindset at all. :/

You're talking about social norms here. Morally and emotionally it's not the only thing that counts as sex but instinctively it is what counts. I agree with what you are saying and I'm just telling you that not everyone thinks this way, if you did not know this then you must be oblivious to the porn industry and how some people may actually work like that. For example I know this late 30 something year old and she spares no shame about telling me everything for some odd reason. She tells me that when guys 'fuck' around with foreplay she just ups and leaves. 'At her age they get straight to the point, they don't care'. Obviously not the mindset of everyone but you must understand a lot if not more people are probably fine with this.

You're not weird at all, it's alright to enjoy this to the full extent but not everyone works that way. /redundancy

I have a feeling at this point we're arguing about two different things to each other, since I agree with your general point and it's the one I was trying to make (i.e., people are different and blanket statements about "what is sex" are pretty stupid), so I'll drop this here.

Progression of orientation:

0-10: Asexual
10-16: Straight
16-18: Bi-curious
18-22: Bisexual (?)
22+: 100% Straight

There's a reason bisexual has a question mark. And that's because I found out I wasn't actually bisexual. I guess I was just open to the idea of being bi, but my dick wasn't.
