To increase strenght use Altador Strenght Potions (+5 pts), for defence feed your pet Armoured Neggs (+1 pt), do kitchen quests (max 10 per day) and zap. If you zap there is always a risk to get a stat decreased, but this is the cheapest way to increase HP.

I traded my 780 HSD pet last month and now the only BD pet I have is 500 HSD labbie with no 1p BD set

Oooooh, another war like the good ol' Darigan/Meridell stuff would be fabulous. I'm not holding my breath though.

Besides, my "BD" pet is like level 20 with noobish gear, I'm nowhere near ready for a war. Might start seriously training up a bit now though, just in case.

yeah Zorua i thought about that too. on the other hand: ac is always in summer and i dont think there is anything more timeconsuming if you want allstar.
