If wonder if Americans have realised they are all right wing nutters yet?

This is true. My most liberal friend Chelsy spent some time in France and said by their standards she was somewhat conservative.

Okay first, let me say that you are laboring under a misapprehension. I don't think that California is a great state. At least in governance.

I do think it has budget problems, but this stems not from who is in control now, but the fact that in 1992 they passed a piece of legislation stating that tax increases had to be approved by public referendum. That means a vote. Can you imagine the amount of money the citizens of california have poured into the campaign process on behalf of their interests? Billions. The whole point of having a legislature is to elect smart or at least connected people to represent you. If the vote comes down to idiots, things can never get better. Besides, California is run by a Republican Governor, everyone knows that :p

Could of sworn that Jerry Brown is a Democrat.... and he's been in office for a while now. Is he was a Republican, the "Dream Act" would of never seen the light of day.

Also on a different note, i didnt mean to come off rude in my previous post, simply stating my views. I dont think that Democrats are out to purely destroy this great country, but that some of the underlying policies that result from their party views are undermining everything that this country stands for.

I will elaborate later. Busy studying for a final ATM.

Don't worry about coming off as offensive, they've moved the topic to Debate so we're allowed to piss each other off.

You're right of course, Jerry Brown took office in January (again, shows how much I don't care about California) so I suppose he could have some influence on the "Dream Act" you're referring to. I'm too lazy to do the research to know what it is though, so unless you elaborate I'm dropping the point.

You did ignore (finals, I understand) the part about state revenue being tied to referendums. That's the utterly foreign concept that throws me for a loop every time I consider that state.
