And How to Use Them

Installing Extensions From This Post

Simply click on the extension link from within Firefox:
Download cdxIcon

You will be prompted to install the extension, or "Add-on", so just tell it to do so.

It is also possible to download the extensions to your harddrive and install them by dragging the file onto an open Firefox window. But this is kind of redundant and silly.

1) cdxIcon: Extension GUI

Download cdxIcon

This extension basically adds an icon to your task bar, allowing easy access to all the other extensions.
It is not required for FF3, but later versions need it installed unless you have the menu bar visible.
Until you install another extension, however, the button will be nonfunctional.

Note: Ensure your Neopets language is set to English.

2) cdxTreasure: Treasure Hunter

Originally designed for the Negg Hunting event in April 2011, this extension will search through each of the Neopian worlds for a custom phrase.
It can also search a list of custom links, enabling use off Neopets.
The "Kickstart" button is in case the loading is disrupted by an error, or a bloated advert. Only click it if the program seems to be stuck, and hasn't reactivated the other buttons.
If you leave the "Item" field blank, the program will ask for confirmation on every page it loads.
The program will use your current tab, and you shouldn't change tab while it's running.
The rest is fairly self explanatory.

3) cdxBattle: Auto Battler

Note: Deprecated. Not suitable for the new battledome.

Mainly designed to quickly and easily get you the "Battle Faerie" avatar, this extension can also be used for boosting your 1p stats, and for easy plot opponents.
It can also get you the Punchbag Bob trophy.
To begin, click the "Load Battle Information" button. This will populate the pet and opponent lists.
Select a pet to see the weapons equipped.
Select one (different) weapon in each box. If you have two of the same weapon equipped, you can use them both, but be sure to select different versions in the list.
Toggle whether to use Berserk attack, and toggle one or both stop conditions. If you toggle the numerical stop button, you must enter a number of battles in the box below.
Click "Begin Battling!" to start. This button will change to "Stop Battling!", which will stop battling and reset all current battles.
The "Load Battle Information" button acts as a status bar for this application.
While it is running, do not close the sidebar, or it will stop! You may otherwise continue browsing as usual, including changing tab.

4) cdxWitch: Edna Quester

This extension will automatically complete Edna Quests for you.
It has the advantage over the Downloads Manager version of allowing you to continue to browse the site while waiting for the next quest.
The refresh rate sets the frequency in seconds for the pages to be loaded.
Max NP is fairly self-explanatory.
Rainbow Rule describes the idea that quests with “Rainbow” in the name are more likely to award the avatar. Unproven.
Three Item Rule describes the idea that quests requiring three items are more likely to award the avatar. Unproven, but well supported.
"Stop after getting the avatar" is, again, pretty self-explanatory.
"Begin Witchery" starts the extension, "Stop Witchery" stops the extension.
"View Log" shows the logs, either in the same window, or as a popup.

Ensure you are logged in, that you have plenty of NP on hand, and that your inventory is not full.

5) cdxRat: Packrat Buyer

This extension will allow you to automatically run through the Neocodex list of the 1000 cheapest items, and buy/deposit the ones you don’t already have. It will stop when your Safety Deposit Box has 1000 items, and will not surpass that number irrespective of how many items you had to start with.
The first button, “Get List”, loads the current list from the Item Database. You must click this before shopping, or you will get an error.
The next setting, “Refresh rate”, sets the average wait time before each page load.
"Set list start" allows you to begin somewhere in the middle of the list, if you’ve begun manually buying, or are restarting the program. When you stop running the program, the status text will tell you the item number to start at next time.
"Begin shopping" starts the program proper.

Ensure you are logged in, that you have plenty of NP on hand, and that your inventory is not full.

6) cdxQuest: NeoQuest I Autotrainer

This extension allows you to train your character on NeoQuest by hunting left and right repeatedly.
It uses potions right up to the max level, and is able to cope with stuns.
The program automatically stops if you die, or if you are gaining an average of less than 10exp per battle.
It does not navigate the game map, apply skill points, or advance the narrative of the game. These must be done manually.

Ensure you have started your NeoQuest game, and are in a location where you can move left and right freely.

7) cdxRubbish: Rubbish Avatar Bot

Note: Disable your Premium Toolbar, if you have it.

This extension will repeatedly visit the Shop Wizard and buy junk items (according to the Neocodex Packrat List, and cheap in-shop items), before discarding them each time the inventory hits around 40 items.
The extension opens a new tab, and does all its operations inside that tab. Don't use that tab for anything else!
Anything in your inventory when the program is started will be placed in the Safety Deposit Box.
Because this extension loads the Shop Wizard properly, it cannot work around Faerie quests. Therefore, it will abandon all quests except for the Fountain Faerie.
The default refresh of 3 seconds did not result in any Wiz Bans, but this is entirely luck based - decreasing the refresh increases the chance of a ban.
"Average wait time" refers to the wait on each page before loading the next.
"Maximum NP" refers to the money you want to spend on items - everything below that price in each shop will be purchased.
"Harvest Item List" collects the Packrat list from Neocodex.
"Begin Collecting" is pretty damn obvious.
This application will continue to work if you close the sidebar, but you will not be able to track your discards.

Any templates for those of us who want to write one? (You know I'm familiar with Javascript in the GM format, but wouldn't know where to start on a GUI)

I just use the Mozilla Developer's Network guides and such.
There's really comprehensive documentation on the site itself.

Anything else, I just google for as I need it

The only thing I can think of is BD opponents that you have to refresh on 1 page for..

The treasure hunter does not refresh one page.

You would use it for any future hunting events/plot steps.

I believe they only work in Firefox.
Chrome overlays probably work differently.

For me the Edna quest completer keeps Repeating in the log:

Total quest cost is XXXnp.

And never seems to buy the item to complete the quest.

I'm going to need a bit more information than that if you want me to be able to help.

Looks nice, but the AutoBattler doesn't populate my pets list, thus having an empty weapons list as well. The challengers are shown though.
