I'm interested in starting 2P BD, and I know some sets can cost upwards of 100mil. I'd like to know approximately how much I'm going to need to spend on equipment in order to be competitive. Obviously I'm going to get raped if I have just a 5 mil set, and I'll probably do pretty well with a 70mil set. How much does the average 2P set cost though?

Edit: If it's different depending on league, or rules, a breakdown would be much appreciated.

Pet stats matter more than the differences between most sets. You can create a fairly decent set for 5m, you might have to skimp on a freezing weapon or healing weapon but it's doable.

I suggest looking around for a battledome guide. It will help you get some decent equipment while you save for training/HT level upgrades.

Well as far as I know, most 2P is done within leagues, so you'll usually be fighting against pets around your own stats anyway. Is this not true?

I'm not a huge BD'er but I'm fairly sure whoever spends the most wins the most. PM me if you need to buy any weaps as I currently have a shit ton UFS.

~50m is okay for L4, although you'll see big sets regardless of which league you're in.

GPA and Plunger (along with ECA and the rods) are almost always banned in low league fights so you don't have to worry about them.

You will probably want 2-3 elemental swords, a pch, an ftab, a pcloud, and a healer for sure.
