Hmm..I think you should post a status update telling everyone you're going to stop receiving entries, if anyone complains then don't end it..
IDK, doesn't sound unfair to me, but I might be biased, since I'm dying to see the entries xD

Huh, I guess two more days wouldn't hurt, especially because I put the SOTW in the middle of the night on the first day, so really it's just 1 extra day.
Sounds like a better idea to leave things as is, because SOTW gets enough flamers/complainers without changing things up last minute. |:

Some great entries and a lot of them too which is good to see. I feel that the entry period went on too long but hey, i guess it contributed to the decent turnout. Also i see that a couple of people failed to read the rule about hosting on photobucket.

(ii) Submitting

When hosting your image, we insist you use a hosting service that gives your submission a completely anonymous URL, to ensure that we have a fair and unbiased competition (imageshack.us, tinypic.com etc etc)

Those two entries are not valid in accordance to this rule.

Rooshy you shouldve made a seperate thread for the results as now its locked and no one can comment. I guess people can comment here. Also you're supposed to post the names of the rest of the entrants and their signatures too

what shouldve happened was that rooshy was supposed to make a seperate thread for the results, then request that the voting thread be closed. That way it keeps it all under control and allows people to comment on the signatures whilst the person running the event can check all the votes without people changing them in the meantime.

all good mate i wasnt having a go, just saying thats all. Ill add in a template to the rules thread for the organisers to use when they run the comp. It will require just a simple copy/paste then. Keeps it more 'uniform' too. Ill do it this arvo when i knock off work.
