who else is bout to get it when it comes out? cant wait for this i was late on MW2 but im not tryna be late to this one....hopefully its as good as im thinking its gonna be

and who still plays mw2 btw? i be doin work on mw2

I'm passing on MW3.

Mainly because the last COD game was a bit of a let down in regards to joining friends in online play. The only reason I kept playing was because my friends wouldn't play Battlefield due to the lack of ability to go prone. The new BF3 allows players to prone along with the ability to use all the vehicles as per previous games... + the gfx look the best they've ever done.

I may end up with MW3 in the end, but to start with, my money has already been spent pre-ordering BF3

yea the only thing im worried bout is as good as mw2 was for some reason they had different ppl create black ops and those same people are making mw3....so yea and i know a lot of people were disappointed by cod BO

MW2 and MW3 are made by Infinity Ward

Black Ops was made by Treyarch...

didn't treyarch and IW merge together so the new IW guys are really just the treyarch guys?

Not sure about that. But I'm fairly sure MW3 has been in development for about 2 years now. They started work on it once MW2 was finished...

My boyfriend is getting the game when it comes out, and I guess I'm going to go through story mode (despite the boos and sneers I'm about to get, I don't like online..). I really liked MW2. Black Ops, however.... yeah I couldn't stand it long enough to finish the story.

No.

Infinity Ward is still 'Developing' MW3, however they aren't doing it on their own.
Activision have actually started their own studio called Sledgehammer Games, headed by Glen Schofield and Michael Condrey, former executives at EA. Sledgehammer Games and IW are/did co-develop the Single Player campaign component of MW3 whilst Raven Studios (X-Men Origins, Wolfenstein, Singularity, Marvel: Ultimate Alliance, Quake 4 etc) worked on the multiplayer aspect.

I'm excited for the game.

Each COD has had it's own strong and weak points, just like every game. MW3 will be as such no matter who is developing it.

I just hope it will be worth the $60 bucks. But really, few games live up to what you spend on them.

Then be glad you don't live here in Australia, where BF3 and MW3 will set you back between $108-$120 a piece on console.

Already Pre-ordered MW3 for 360, the hardened edition. They year of COD Elite that comes with it seems worth it. I'll be grabbing mine on the midnight release with a case of beer also i took the next 3 days off work after it gets released =]

Forget that. You Aussies need to let these developers know how you really feel. I suggest a mass protest involving smashing all those consoles to fucking bits in your streets.

I still have fun playing the first modern warfare mw2 is okay. I'm gonna pass on 3, I can't afford it, and mainly because the games are too similar.. I get enough replay value from the other two still.
and 5 other games I play regularly.
I think I'm too busy with CS: Source and TF2. ah well.
