I blame you for its failure to operate correctly.
I've never even seen it, it's all SL's.

So I read a bunch of Soul's suggestions and some statuses whatever stating that normal members are not able to price the item database for unbuyable items and that they wish that they could. This is a trial thread to see if people will actually use it.
Here are some rules
1) Post the item and price you think its worth in format:
Item Name:Current Price in the Item Database:New Suggested Price
e.g. Pirate Eyrie Morphing Potion: 1.5mil:900k
2) I will verify the price before I update the item's price
3) Do NOT ask for price checks here, they will be ignored and removed.
4) If any other advanced member stumbles upon this, feel free to update the prices (but please look up the prices to verify first).
This is a group effort and will help everyone in the long run. Plus it increases your post count (yay) and maybe I'll rep you if you give a bunch of items. You have to look up the value anyway, why not help out a bit?
To promote the use of this, I will give a very expensive prize to someone who matches an unknown criteria. All I will tell you is that the more items you price on here, the higher chance you will get the prize [this does not
neccessarily mean that posting one item at a time will improve your chances]. The prize itself will be released later in the month

French Toast PB&J Sandwich shows 650np when the cheapest is 80k and the avg is 83k
There were 3 other items like this but I can't remember them.

Our database now actually holds ALL items in Neopets.
We used to not include untradeable items, as they would never be updated or traded.
Someone recently decided that was irrelevant and added them all. So now we have every item
Posted 04 November 2011 - 11:14 AM
is there a way to change how there priced so we could add (no trade) or (nc item) to the price?
Posted 04 November 2011 - 11:18 AM
We don't currently have that functionality.

i would think that all you would need to to is change the variable/allowed characters so that letters could be typed. Or is it that the source doesn't allow that

The method which we handle items would be needed to be changed. The items would most likely be reported as untradable, rather then typed into the price.
I've been pressing since we added in the items over two months ago to get untradable items added in, but we don't have anyone around that has the freetime to do this >.>

The description for the Wooden Flail (most recently discovered item): Dont flail around too much otherwise it will just break in half!
And the object ID (don't know if you need this, but I just got a neomail from Jelly asking for it, so I thought you guys might too): 59128
I'll come back with a price if I ever sell the thing.

All updated. I'm looking into the Nerkmids but will possibly follow your recommendation. Mate, you've submitted more prices than any other member within the last few days then most do in their entire time. Although it wont allow you to edit the prices in the database, I'm going to reward you with a 1x Month free Advanced Subscription. Neocodex cannot thank you enough for your contributions thus far. Please, keep up the good work. Your subscription should activate when an admin is online to do so.
