So...
It's not often that I like to give out reputation, because quite frankly I don't always see a huge reason for it... there generally aren't too many great or helpful posts that I come across that require it...

Over the past week or so now, that has seemed to change, with more quality posts being made on certain areas of the forums... whether it be help in the Neopets area, posts in general chat and some of the posts in the OWS argument, some of which I agree with and others I don't however still feel that the poster is deserving of rep for their well thought out post and arguments.

The problem is, I can only seem to hand out a maximum of something like 5 rep per day. Is this restriction even necessary? If someone likes a post where they think someone deserves rep, why should they hold of doing so to ensure they don't meet there maximum quota per day... then forget to go back and give the rep anyway...

So... yeah... please sir, can I has some moar?

Because there are some people who's rep-worthy post standards aren't as high as yours.

My standards are likely higher than his, and I still run out of rep on many days.

I do understand the benefit of keeping it limited, it has more meaning and people will reserve it for posts that are truly deserving.

But if I find 6 truly deserving posts in one day, #6 is SOL.

In short, my feelings are mixed; I would like to be able to give out more rep, but I don't think it should be a free-for-all, as at that point it would lose its value.

I meant there would be people going around repping anything and everything.

Why don't you just PM them how much you love them? Rep is pretty meaningless.

I know, that's why I said it would lose its value. The rep market would be flooded, and deflation would ensue ;)

It's possible to edit the maximum number of positive rep users can give by user group so the admins would be able to make it so Retired/Advanced can give more rep than regular members. You'd need an admin to do it for you though.
