It's really simple, but not super obvious. Somebody made a very smart remark, or a very helpful post, and you want to show a little extra gratitude.

First of all.

1. Select your post.
(pretty self explanatory)

2. Follow the steps in the below image.

3. Repeat. ect ect. :)

*cough* i know this was easy but how about a little thanks for your favorite forum member? :)

why would a guide be required for giving rep? Out of all the newbies that come, only some can't be bothered figuring it out.
Most people would be able to figure it out for themselves

Pretty sure that it doesnt contribute at all because no one learned anything.
Read the rules before posting.

5.4 - Trolling is not welcome at Neocodex.

I think the jury has been back on that one... Half-assed, laughable, unhelpful... That's right, I understand rep less after this abomination.

Trolling gives idiots the easy way out, back in the day before trolls really existed people were laughed off the internet for things like this. I've seen your posts, I'm sure you don't have the capacity to troll, especially not advanced trolling. I'm calling shenanigans!

Spoiler

It doesn't help at all because it IS super obvious. You told people to click the rep button when you dig something, which is about as rudimentary and pointless as "Liking" things on Facebook. It would be more instructive and helpful for you to give us a guide on how to bold and italicize our posts. Also, if you're trying to meet the 500 post quota to get Advanced, you should know that it's not based off of how number of posts anymore. Just in case that is why you are posting upwards of 40 times a day.

You joined Neocodex on 13-September 11 which makes your average seem lower than it is. If you've really logged on 3 times, and have a 117 posts, that means that you average ALMOST 40 POSTS PER LOG IN. Being active is fine; incidentally, dozens of us are able to do it without creating multiple topics per log in and commenting on everything all at once. There is a not-so-fine gap between active and annoying.

This.

... but wait, some people might abuse that power and that would just mean more work for the Moderators to warn those users. xD

I guess it's a good effort, try to make a guide on something less obvious next time :p I guess it's the thought that counts... unless you were joking; can't really tell x.x
