Been spending waaaay too much time on 4chan's /vp/ board lately, but they do indeed hook it up over there and I thought I'd come and share the love. So come on in, ask for free shit, bitch about breeding, or set up a battle. If you aren't playing Pokemon, my only question to you would be "Why the hell not??" A basic question: How can you battle/play with someone from all over the world? Do I have to play with an emulator?

The 4th generation of Pokemon(Diamond, Pearl, Platinum), introduced Pokemon Wi-Fi communications where you can exchange friend codes with one another and battle, trade&chat.

Worldwide indeed... Seems like lately there's nobody to battle but the Japanese. And you cannot interact over Wifi with an emulator... But if you want a really awesome hack of the 5th generation Pokemon games you should check out Blaze Black and Volt White. You can catch all 600+ Pokemon, which is pretty well unheard of in this franchise

Stopped playing Pokemon once Black and White came around. How is it? I've seen some of the Pokemon and I think some creativity has been lost. I mean there is a crocodile Pokemon named Krokodil I think. lol


I do frequent a site like Neopets called Pokefarm, though. You should sign up and list the user "Melt" as how you found the site. If I refer 25 people I get a reward. ^^

Personally I don't think it is as fun/good as previous Pokemon games. Elite Four in particular, I managed to beat them w/o any problems same w/ almost every other trainer/gym.

Didn't seem like much of a challenge but overall it was entertaining =)

Awww... But the painstaking hours I spent breeding are half the fun! But if you see me on PO the handle is Officer Friendly, PM me and once I'm done testing out whatever I'm likely there to test we can have a battle. Or you can PM me here and if I'm online I'll log in JUST to give you the fight of your life.

Looking forward to it! Also, in response to your other post, if you find the game too easy (I mean... It is for children) you should try a Nuzlocke run. The rules I used were:1.) You can only use a Pokemon center once per day2.) After the Pokemon center use, only items may be used for healing3.) You may only catch the first Pokemon seen on each Route, unless its a duplicate. Only get one shot, if the Pokemon is killed or flees, tough titties... No Pokemon for you that route.4.) If a Pokemon faints it is dead, and I'm forced to release it.If you can make it to the Pokemon League without breaking whatever rules you set up for yourself then you are a stronger man than I....

You could also try a Mystery Egg Run... Collect 6 random eggs from the internet and use that as your team the entire way through. It gives the game a bit more immersion... Which is what I play for. I love my pixels! Not like Neopets love where I just created it and therefore don't give a shit, but my blood, sweat and tears go into Pokemon breeding... And when you breed up a really godly Pokemon, train it, and use it to smash someones team to bits... theres no better feeling in my book.

The only thing I could possibly complain about is a lack of post-game content apart from Battle Subway/breeding. The Pokemon are every bit as imaginative and endearing in my opinion... Nostalgia goggles are the only reason for Gen V hate. I direct you to the spoiler.

hahaha, in that case the game will be a whole hell of a lot more entertaining and strenuous I'll have to give it a shot one day.

I wish instead of just recycling the series and naming it a new color theyd take it in a new direction. How baller would it be if they ported it to a console or PC, gave you actual controls over the pokemon in the fights, released patches to constantly switch up gameplay, hell even throw in some MMO to it. They could add a lot more customization and maybe make some of those normally terrible useless pokemon worth dealing with. But then again, that would cost them more money than changing the names of all the characters and creating a new color and releasing a game.
