Also, do you really need a 2600k? Is there a particular reason you don't want the 2500k? Unless you have a specific need for hyper-threading there's really no point spending the extra. I haven't looked in a while, but I think Ivy Bridge is due soon too.

I'll give it a 8/10 you could tweek some stuff. I'm not familiar with american prices.

- Case: Minus the window, that's the same case I have. Of course I approve.
- MB: Not fastest PCIE slots, but your vid card is only 2.0 anyway.
- Proc: *thumbs up*
- Video: Uuuuughghhhh boo
Well you can't be perfect I guess. Could get a Sapphire card for less. Don't forget to get a mini HDMI to HDMI cable
- SSD: <3 <3 <3
- Memory: WTF is this? You saved $20 I guess but I have never heard of this brand (and it's ugly).
- KB/Mouse: Don't care
- Monitor: You already know I love your monitor.
- HDD: Don't care
- DVD: Y no Blu-Ray?
- Power load is good, thank you for not skimping on the power supply.
7/10 for me, I would change the video card and memory, and add Blu-Ray.
Edit: Updated to include bullet points.

You can always change to a more expensive one if it changes. But a 560 GTX for mostly video is a bit overkill.
That processor is also (severely) overkill if you're not intending to do a lot of actual work on your machine, or expecting to run the latest games with maximum aethetic settings.
I'd maybe give it a 5.5/10. Bumping it up to a 7/10 if you do plan to do a lot of gaming on it. (that processor is still overkill)

It's horrible
Jokin', your rig seems pretty cool! 7/10! But be careful with that ram. I've heard cheap ram from smaller companies can fuck you over in.. some way /can't remember how

Power supply can be brought down to about 650W since you aren't using a dual video card setup
other than that, looks somewhat decent.
May want to rethink your hard drive though, considering that caviar black is
DEACTIVATED. This item is currently out of stock and it may or may not be restocked.

The caviar is just a secondary drive that he's throwing in because he already owns it. The SSD is the drive he is purchasing.

Went over budget
To me the keyboard is a bit much, i would be fine with just a standard board. pretty much as long as it works

SSD is the last thing he wants to drop from this build imo.

True SSD is a nice part of any PC build just really depends on how tight his budget is. I'll take a slow booting computer that handle better graphical displays but again he isn't going to be gaming all the time like others >.<

- I actually wanted this case http://www.newegg.co...N82E16811129091 but it was the last thing I bought and I was way overbudget at this point. I am drawn to bright lights.
- I don't know too much about mobos so I grabbed the one compatible with the processor and had 2x 2.0 16x SATA express.
- Yeah.
- I'm not much of a gamer so I slacked a bit in this area. With the current build I'm planning to do a SLI set-up at some point.
- Love you too.
- But look the ram is covered in armour plating!
- You should. Go Razer or go home.
- Go samsung or go home.
- There is a $50 500GB I'm looking to get as soon as my newegg sub goes through so I can use the discount code. If anyone is interested, http://www.newegg.co...N82E16822145299 coupon code: EMCJJHE47. You need to be subscribed to their newsletter.
- No Blu Ray because I prefer downloading 1080p rips and storing them rather than paying for disks to take up space.

I'm getting conflicting opinions on whether the video card is over or underkill.

But the SSD is the best part! I see we all have polarizing opinions on the graphics card. I really want to try out mechanical keyboards.

I had that deal in my cart and when I woke up the next day it was sold out. The one I listed is about $10 more for the exact same specs without the free Battlefield 3 game. The price you listed is including the $120 rebate, which also comes with the one I bought so essentially it's the same thing. I just don't hold my breath when it comes to rebates so I don't include them in my buying decisions.

You chose GTX 560, correct?
I'm currently gaming fine on my GTX 260 816MB. And compared to the 5XX/6XXX range, it's pretty crappy. If you only expect to be gaming with Diablo II, putting a dedicated GPU in is probably going to be a waste of texture fill. Home theatre really doesn't require a powerful card, usually anything with a decent amount of video memory will run HD content fine. Hell, my GTX 260 runs two 1080p monitors side by side fine. I usually have to turn off any AA if I want to run the second monitor on top of a 3D game, but I also have less video memory than you will.
I would probably go for a GTX 460 over the GTX 560.
http://www.newegg.co...N82E16814130571
If you plan on upgrading later, which is doable since you've got a fairly strong power supply, you can. And there will likely be a couple more tiers of graphics cards released by the time you feel the need, which will give you a bigger bang for your buck.
That said, I would also scratch the SSD and get a lower end quad core processor. an I7 is something I would get for professional computing jobs like 3D rendering and modeling, or doing a lot of file compression and decompression. Most things requiring CPU power these days support multi-threading, so just about any quad core is going to be adequate. I've never used a SSD, but I also value space far more than slightly quicker access time.
If you're interested, this is the CPU I would use.

Everything else looks good to me, really... Only change I would make to your build would be to swap out your video card with what I have. The AMD Radeon HD 6970 2GB card.... it's spectacular for watching 1080P videos and for playing games.
I LOVE my machine... it's definitely the best I've ever used... So I would say 9/10 with 10/10 with the Radeon card. That may be unnecessary to you.... but I find it invaluable...
Anyways, enough rambling.
You have inspired me, sir. My next machine shall be.... a HACKINTOSH!

"Love has to spring spontaneously from within: and it is in no way amenable to any form of inner or outer force. love and coercion can never go together; but though love cannot be forced on anyone, it can be awakened in him through love itself. love is essentially self-communicative. those who do not have it, catch it from those who have it. true love is unconquerable and irresistible; and it goes on gathering power and spreading itself until eventually it transforms everyone whom it touches."
