I dont want anyone to quote me on saying ShadowLink64, but I do believe it may have been TheWu, and it was before that rule was put up.

Here are some reasons that are logical to me:

1) Giveaways and contests can be hosted by scammers.

2) Giveaways and contests can be hosted by Neo. Then they'll take your account and IP freeze you.

3) "Prizes" can be tainted, or the "prizes" are obtained through programs. If you get an item from a user that used programs, then you will most likely get frozen too.

Those are 3 reasons that come into my mind on why we shouldn't have contests + giveaways.

No, those reasons aren't very good. Neopets team is stupid, they won't ever think of doing number 2, and I wouldn't do a contest from a newbie member.

How about number 3?

Those reasons aren't supposed to be good, they're just some reasons that I'm trying to point out on why a verification is needed. (For those that wondered why contests needed to be verified) And you wouldn't do a contest from new members but how about the other members? I've seen a lot and I've learned that many people are greedy (Not to offend those that aren't) and would do anything for the extra NP.

And yes, I agree, TNT is stupid. However, I've been taught to never take things for granted.

Well it's not like if you win a contest you are going to give them your password or anything...few people are that stupid nowadays, and if they are that "smart" then maybe they deserve to be scammed
