I really think that it all depends on if Obama is re-elected or if a new person is in office. If Obama were to hold office again in 2012, then I think that the Iraq War is officially over. Can't say for sure though.

And I recall that they were already pulling out soldiers back in the spring. We thought that the war was over around then, but it seems like they all haven't left Iraq.

Well, I'm sure it takes a long time to send everybody home.

I can't see Obama going against his word like that.

I would say you have NO idea, but since you pointed that out, yeah, its pretty insane the organization/work/effort it takes to pull everyone out. truely amazing. they say it cost roughly 1million dollars per soldier in food,living/expense/fuel, etc, all the transporting etc.. it really is insane. i went to afghanistan back and fourth 3 complete times, so 6 rides from america to afghanistan. wish i could of gotten airline miles out of it lol.

It's over in that we won't have an army standing in Iraq in the near future ever again unless, as it was implied in the article, someone attempts to take governance. Other than us.

It will be several years before I can say whether this wasn't a waste. Hundreds of thousands dead, over a million Iraqi refugees, and certainly over $1 trillion dollars--spent to depose a leader (and git sum oil) when Facebook has removed two this year.

No one in my town knows about this. My question is, why isn't this fact getting more publicity?
