Prices are clearly offset at this point in time due to war inflation. After the war is over and prices settle this entire guide shall be updated to reflect current ranges.
As it stands the guide is still effective for determining relative values.

Does Kelpbeard's Trident normally top out over Sword of Ari in 2p? I'm looking to start rebuilding a BD set and don't know what the most common shields are nowadays.
nox memorial is like the best shield

That is very arguable.
Good? Yes.
The best? Sometimes.
Everything has holes. Check out the Weapon Reviews.

This is the best shield available in the game hands down. There is no upgrade for the amount of defense it provides.

There are times it is the best but there are times when other shields work better. Overall, yes it is the best as of right now.

I've updated this guide entirely. The old version has been saved in the spoiler at the bottom as there is still some great sets in there just be wary of the prices if you're referencing it.
The sets have been updated, the prices have been updated, you have a better balance overall for the various price range sets. Enjoy.

Jar of rejuvenating brains? 60hp heal instead of 50? Not too much more (keeps you under the 3mil mark still)

I was going to say JofRB. I would have said a month ago that cursed elixir was better in the under 75K set but inflation has changed that. Luckily I got a 100 when they were cheap.
Also, what about the abilities? I'm using "Drain Life" in one-player right now, but am having second thoughts.

Abilities can vary in a very volatile nature pending on current market prices for those faeries.

Icon Coverage. Reflection is still broken in the battledome so I wouldn't waste your time with it though until they fix it.

For the 1 player mode
I think that Tablard faerie is better than nox shield because there are a lot of fire icons
