You aren't out from under it's heel yet, Great Britain. Quite possibly the biggest gaff in colonialism's history, David Cameron illustrates that he should not be an elected official. Should not be an appointed official either, but that's beside the point.

I thought you of all people would see beyond the 'main point' to the words he used. Hyperbole has no place in international politics.

I don't listen to any of the words he uses, he's an inept, incompetent, rich public schoolboy whose views abhor me on 99.9% of subjects but he is correct on this subject. People should have the right to choose their own sovereignty and that includes people of the Falkland Islands, Gibraltar, Tibet and Palestine.

It does, though. Christ, can you imagine the fallout for the country whose elected official suddenly started expressing truth, and only truth?

It's their choice. I personally think they'll be worse off as an independent country (look at what happened to other small, independent countries in the last few years like Ireland and Iceland) but ultimately it's their choice if they want to leave the Union. Also, we should build a new wall on the border as a major infrastructure project bringing large scale, albeit temporary, employment to Northumberland and Cumbria and keeping the marauding Scots out to prevent them from raping and pillaging (again) when things get desperate.

Why would that be any use, we have a much bigger population and army than Scotland - not to mention that many people will have family ties between Scotland and England, creating an unwillingness to fight each other. You might as well bring even more employment to the region by enlisting people to knock it down as soon as it's finished.
