Read the following fine print please: This is a work in progress but there is enough to get started here. I will be adding more content regularly so please stay tuned. I am only going to be adding useful/common Battledome Items to this list so don't expect a review for every Battledome item available because you will only be disappointed.

Anagram Swords:

Approximately: 9,650,000 NP

The first and most widely seen of the Anagram Swords. This was the sword that started it all and as far as power house weapons go this one is definitely on the list.

Power to Cost: 4/5 - The only reason that this weapon loses a point here is that it is a variable rate of physical icons and thus our attack can range from 17 icons to 24 icons. If it were consistent I would be happier.

Tactical Use: 1/3 - This weapon still has plenty of practical application despite downside of the full dark blockers you don't want this to be your only option as far as attack goes. It is 1p that this weapon is really going to shine and show that this dark bringer of death is still useful.

Defense/Countermeasure: 0/2 - The release of the Hanso Charisma Charm really hurt this weapon being a very cheap way to shut down a very expensive weapon. If it were not for the variable attack icons it would have saved at least a point here but when you can knock this weapon down to a possible 2 icons for only 500k it ruins the score for this category.

Overall Score: 5/10 - This score may seem rather harsh what considering we are talking about one of the strongest and well known set staples available but as I stated above there are reasons for the lowered score.

Sword of Reif:

This is arguably the best of the Anagram Swords the fire icons are extremely difficult to counter and as such it is hard finding these any cheaper than the Hidden Tower prices. This should be a cornerstone for any serious Battledome Set.

Power to Cost: 4/5 - The only reason that this weapon loses a point here is that it is a variable rate of physical icons and thus our attack can range from 17 icons to 24 icons. Still very cost efficient.

Tactical Use: 2/3 - The very few counter measures were expensive before this weapon release but after it was released they have grown even higher and as such there is not much that is going to stop it from wreaking havoc in 2p and in 1p.

Defense/Countermeasures: 1/2 - The reflector Flame Reflectozap will consistently reflect 75% of the fire icons right back at you and the Slippery Floor Potion will flat out stop this weapon for a single turn. There isn't a lot in terms of massive fire icon defense and as such this gains a point here.

Overall Score: 7/10 - This is going to be one of the best weapons you will get for this price range and you will not find an upgrade for this weapon.

Sword of Ari:

Hand in hand with the Sword of Reif is the Sword of Ari. This Anagram Sword focuses on heavy air icon instead of heavy fire icons. Personally this is my favorite of all the Anagrams as Air is especially hard to counter. Pteri's do have a natural 40% resistance to air icons but there are not too many of those floating around in the 2p brackets to lose sleep over it. This is truly a solid weapon.

Power to Cost: 4/5 - Again the variable factors in pretty heavily in my opinion. I like consistency and powerful or not this could end up doing only 17 icons instead of the max 24.

Tactical Use: 3/3 - The only two real defenses to this weapon are on par with the higher end shields such as the Hubrid Nox Memorial Shield however they are only on par with price and full blocker status. They are not common and unless your opponent is extremely rich you shouldn't fear running into opposition here.

Defenses/Countermeasures: 1/2 - The Pteri is going to be the number one defense against this weapon as it nearly cuts the power of the air icons in half. That being said it is the Shield of Soaring and the Ring of Weightlessness that are the best defenses against air icons but neither is very common.

Overall Score: 8/10 - This weapon does have a few upgrades for a nice chunk of change more but this one is plenty for massive air icons.

Sword of Thare:

Approximately: 10,500,000 NP

This is the earth icon heavy Anagram Sword and rightly so, 15 earth icons and you are looking at the next best thing to the Attack Pea series weapons. Earth is easy to block but not common at this tier of 2p circuit so you may be able to use this as your second constant to throw your opponent off track!

Power to Cost: 3/5 - The fact that the earth icons are partly blocked by nearly every shield on the market lowers the average icons you will actually be landing, all the same still a solid weapon.

Tactical Use: 2/3 - As I said if used as your secondary constant this weapon will definitely catch your opponent off guard. Just bear in mind that are not likely to land most of your icons.

Defenses/Countermeasures: 0/2 - The amount of partial blockers is too great to list here but the full blockers alone are pretty cheap and hurt the rating severely. Illusens Silver Shield is only going to run you around 2mil and it is the cheapest multi-use full earth blocker on the market. Single use just grab a Potion of Concealment and poof no more earth for one turn.

Overall Score: 5/10 - While though it seems harsh the only real advantage you have using this Anagram Sword is that your opponent probably will not be expecting it and will have a hard time blocking all of it every turn.

Sword of Thigl:

Approximately: 10,300,000 NP

This is the light icon variation of the Sword of Skardsen, if the Hubrid Nox Memorial Shield was not active on the market this would be an excellent weapon.

Power to Cost: 3/5 - The light icons used to be really hard to block in mass quantities until the Hubrid Nox Memorial Shield was released. Now it is just too easy and thus the cost feels inflated since you can get the shield to block this for less Neopoints.

Tactical Use: 1/3 - For 1p this is still a solid weapon but in 2p you may as well throw in the white rag now cause odds are if your opponent has an Anagram Sword they have this weapons kryptonite in their arsenal.

Defenses/Countermeasures: 0/2 - Hubrid Nox Memorial Shield shuts this down to just the physical icons and the same rings true for the Pirate Captains Hat. It isn't even practical to use this as a secondary.

Overall Score: 4/10 - The market saturation of the Hubrid Nox Memorial Shield destroys this weapon. 4/10 is generous considering that fact.

Sword of Tawre:

Thought the bad Anagram ratings were over? Wrong... The Sword of Tawre would have been very good years before the Kelpbeards Trident was released but these days it is a pure waste of Neopoints.

Power to Cost: 2/5 - At 3mil lower the Kelpbeards Trident is cheaper for the same effectiveness of even more massive water icons.

Tactical Use: 2/3 - The bright side is that your opponent is more than likely sporting defense for dark icons, light icons, and either trying to block fire or air... that being said you are likely to slip past full water blockers.

Defenses/Countermeasures: 1/2 - Again you are not likely to run into one these days but watch out for the Enchanted Kiko Squeeze Toy and the Faerie Tabard as they will both destroy this Sword.

Overall Score: 5/10 - Not as severe as the Sword of Thigl but seriously... go buy a Kelpbeards Trident, same amount of icons but the Kelpbeards Trident has more water icons and is 3mil cheaper. Go. Now. Go.

Hidden Tower Weapons (Active Only)

Approximately: 8,000,000 NP

Where the Sword of Tawre fails is simply the existence of this heavy water icon constant. This weapon is 3mil cheaper than the Anagram Swords yet literally just as lethal.

Power to Cost: 5/5 - At 3mil cheaper than the Anagram Swords this weapon is amazing for the price, the difference in price tag alone overcomes the variable factor in icon distribution.

Tactical: 2/3 - Again water is not likely to be high on many players list to defend against but since it is cheaper expect a few opponents to pop out their Faerie Tabard to destroy this wonderful weapon, a solid secondary constant and a staple for every Battledome set.

Defenses/Countermeasures: 1/2 - Faerie Tabard is a fairly common shield and as such if that is what your opponent has been using don't bother wasting your time pulling this out because odds are you have a different weapon that can do damage as the Faerie Tabard literally completely blocks this weapon.

Overall Score: 8/10 - Still a solid weapon despite the risk of being shut down by the Faerie Tabard or being reduced to nearly nothing by other water blockers such as the Enchanted Kiko Squeeze Toy. Get this weapon second as you don't want to depend on it alone especially if you are 2p battling.

Ghostkerbomb

(17-24 Icons: 10fire, 10earth,1-10physical icons)
Approximately: 7,200,000 NP

This is the best bomb available in the game, there is literally none better.

Power to Cost: 5/5 - There is no upgrade and even being Once Per Battle it is still tide turning. Excellent weapon for only 7.25mil.

Tactical: 2/3 - Bear in mind that you can only use it Once Per Battle so timing is key to ensuring maximum damage being inflicted to your opponent. Use after freezing with your strongest constant for best affect.

Defenses/Countermeasures: 2/2 - If you do what I just said to do then you don't need to worry about defenses your opponent may have that could block this weapon as they have no means to do anything but skip their turn if frozen. On the off chance your opponent doesn't know that staple strategy use the Pirate Captains Hat and you can block most of it.

Overall Score: 9/10 - No upgrade from here, easy to follow strategy, reasonable price tag, and the cornerstone of Battledome sets everywhere. Get one of these at least if you haven't already.

Pirate Captains Cutlass

Approximately: 12,000,000 NP

This is a great alternative to the Anagram Swords as it mixes up the icons a bit but in total you are still looking at the same amount of icons that they produce.

Power to Cost: 2/5 - At 13mil this is overpriced even with the variation in icons. You are better off saving your Neopoints and purchasing a second Anagram Sword than waste your time here.

Tactical: 3/3 - While though your opponent may block the light and probably the physical icons it is much harder to block the air icons and you will score some damage virtually every turn. If your opponent can't block all of these icons the mix of them makes them scramble trying to work around the gap in defense.

Defenses/Countermeasures: 1/2 - There is no shield that will flat out stop this weapon but that still doesn't make up for the 2mil difference in price when you could just get a Sword of Ari for the Air icons.

Overall Score: 6/10 - It is hard to argue the versatility of the icons however the price tag is too much to justify purchasing this weapon.

Portable Kiln

Approximately: 2,000,000 NP

Back in the day this was one of the #.1 methods of slipping icons past Ghostkershield, the old Battledome standard, but these days there are cheaper alternatives.

Power to Cost: 2/5 - This weapon still retains that it is massive fire damage and is hard to block so I have to give it props however the Flask of Liquid Fire is a much cheaper alternative that actually has the potential to hit for more icons than the Portable Kiln.

Tactical: 1/3 - This weapon really shines in the 2p circuit because of the mass fire icons, these days however that is overshadowed by cheaper alternatives that would give you a more tactful advantage and I recommend sticking with those cheaper alternatives.

Defenses/Countermeasures: 1/2 - Aside from the Flame Reflectozap, the Clawed Shield is the only thing currently that really hurts these fire heavy weapons.

Overall Score: 4/10 - This weapon just lacks the versatility to survive in the modern day Battledome, and at 2-3mil a pop they are just not worth wasting time with.

Glittery Faerie Dust

(15 Random Icons of Single Type: 15fire OR 15air OR 15earth OR 15water OR 15light OR 15dark OR 15physical)
Approximately: 9,200,000 NP

This is a pretty good way to go through a heavy mix of randomness!

Power to Cost: (4/5) - If it came slightly more icons it would have pulled off the perfect score here but the price tag is a little steep regardless of usefulness.

Tactical: (3/3) - This weapon will do 15 of a random icon type every turn. This is extremely helpful for helping slip past shields as your opponent will have to guess which icons are going to be used and it is hard to play defense from a random icon weapon.

Defenses/Countermeasures: (2/2) - This weapon being random as it is can not be easily blocked by any one item, the only two that are going to for sure stop this are the Thick Smoke Bomb which is a Single Use item that blocks 100% of your opponents attack and Thyoras Tear which is the same exact thing expect it is Once Per Battle and much more expensive. The only other thing I can recommend would be the Pirate Captain Hat due to the fact it can block 2 icons in full, so provided it doesn't break you will have a shield from the Glittery Faerie Dust 33.33% of the time when using it.

Overall Score: (9/10) - Truly a good weapon despite the low icon average being able to keep your opponent scrambling trying to defend your, potentially, ever changing icons is definitely worth investing some Neopoints.

Twin Faerie Blades

(10-29 Icons: 3-8water, 3-8light, 3-8air, 1-5physical icons)
Approximately: 11,500,000 NP

This weapon can do anywhere from 10-29 icons putting it in a slightly higher class than the Anagram Swords however the range of variable damage is severe.

Power to Cost: (4/5) - Have to give it props, at only 13mil this weapon ranges all the way to 29 icons, the odds of actually getting that are rare but it is a fairly good mix of water, air, and light icons that makes it hard for your opponent to counter.

Tactical: (1/3) - The light icons are more than likely going to be shut down completely since the Hubrid Nox Memorial Shield is so common. Slipping the remaining 0-6 icons past the shield is not good when battling at this tier of weapons.

Defenses/Countermeasures: (0/2) - The Hubrid Nox Memorial Shield can block this weapon almost completely every turn, at very best you can slip a maximum of 6 icons past the shield.

Overall Score: 5/10 - If your opponent doesn't have the Hubrid Nox Memorial Shield then you are in luck with a good variety of icons to pummel them with but since most of your 2p opponents will have it this is going to be shut down just about entirely and thus the 5/10 score is very generous.

Plot Prize Weapons

Ylanas Blaster

(13 Icons: 5fire, 2air, 3earth, 3physical icons)
Approximately: 950,000 NP

This is still a good weapon doing 13 icons for only around 800k isn't terrible considering the step up in power launches you into the Anagram range.

Power to Cost: (4/5) - Lets face it 13 icons, decent mix, and only 800k? This is definitely a decent weapon for the price. You're not likely to slip many, if any, icons past the higher end shields but if you are looking at this weapon as a serious set item then odds are you're opponents won't be able to block all of it.

Tactical: (1/3) - Even on this medium range of Battledome items the earth and physical icons are fairly easy to block. A lot of lower end defense items can also block fire and air icons as well but you won't find much in this range that is going to flat out shut you down.

Defenses/Countermeasures: (1/2) - Sophies Magic Hat can be bought for around 130k and shuts this down to only 2 fire and 2 air icons. The Shiny Shoal Shield is an even cheaper shield that also takes a chunk out of this.

Overall Score: (6/10) - Lets face it, for this price range of weapons and shields this is a very good option but the moment you get yourself into a battle with someone sporting a Faerie Tabard it is reduced to nothing. Dual wield for best chance at holding your own against most shields.

Brynns Legendary Sword of Wraith Smiting

(13 Icons: 3fire, 3earth, 2light, 5physical icons)
Approximately: 850,000 NP

This was the top prize available from the Faeries Ruin plot line and is on par with Ylanas Blaster and the NQ II 13 icon weapons.

Power to Cost: (4/5) - This is the cheapest of the 13 icon weapons and in the correct 1P battles adds just enough edge to make it competitively priced.

Tactical: (1/3) - Unfortunately these icons are all fairly easy to block and the only reason it even scores a point is that it can't be completely blocked by any one shield. You can use this fairly effectively against low end sets but Ylanas Blaster is a much better option icon wise and is not much more expensive.

Defenses/Countermeasures: (1/2) - It can't be fully blocked which is the only positive outlook to this weapon. Hubrid Nox Memorial Shield, Faerie Tabard, Ghostkershield, Pirate Captains Hat, and Sophies Magic Hat all cripple this weapon to just a few icons.

Overall Score: (6/10) - Best to only get if you get either a really good deal or are trying to beat a 1P opponent that these icons will be most effective at handling.

Neoquest II

Approximately: 130,000 NP

When nostalgia sets in for what used to rock the 1P and 2P circuits this is definitely one of the first things that comes to mind. Still not bad for the price both the light and dark icons are easy to block at this point.

Power to Cost: (4/5) - Seriously hard to give it a bad ranking here, you're getting 10 icons for a little over 100k. The only realistic upgrade from this weapon is the Hanso Charisma Charm.

Tactical: (1/3) - This used to be amazing but it has become too easy to block even among shields around its own level though you will slip a couple icons past practically everything. The only things that flat out stop this is the Faerie Ability Sink, Thick Smoke Bomb, and Thyoras Tear and those are only for a single turn.

Defenses/Countermeasures: (1/2) - As I just said you are virtually always going to be slipping icons through with this either a couple dark or a couple light. Even with higher end shields like Ghostkershield or the Hubrid Nox Memorial Shield you are still gonna be doing some damage. You are rarely if ever going to be hitting for a full 10 icons which is the downfall to this weapon.

Overall Score: (6/10) - This is still a very good weapon for this level, it is just the fact that it is mainly going to be used to slip a few icons through everything and not as a major hitter. Other than that still a solid weapon.

Scuzzys Comb

Approximately: 100,000 NP

The cheaper of the two 10 icon NQ II weapons. This one simply trades the 5 dark icons for 5 physical icons. Ordinarily this would be bad but considering how the Hanso Charisma Charm has flooded the market this may prove to be the more useful of the two.

Power to Price: (4/5) - We're still looking at 10 icons for next to nothing considering the price jump to the next level.

Tactical: (1/3) - The advantages and disadvantages here trade off. There are full blockers to this weapon however which is a major snag in the tactical advantage. However you may get lucky and slip a few physical icons through with a few light icons.

Defenses/Countermeasures: (0/2) - This is where this weapon lacks the tenacity of Ramtors Spell Book. Thief's Dagger partially blocks most of this and attacks for more icons, Hubrid Nox Memorial Shield completely shuts this down, but if your battling opponents that can afford that odds are you can afford a better weapon.

Overall Score: (5/10) - If circumstances are right this is the better option of the two if your opponent is sporting the Hanso Charisma Charm for their shield. I wouldn't choose this over the Ramtors Spell Book though.

Bow of Destiny

Approximately: 1,700,000 NP

Considered to be the better of the duo by many I am inclined to agree, this weapon is a great middle class constant until you are ready to upgrade to the Anagram level Battledome Weapons.

Power to Price: (4/5) - With an average of 2mil a pop this weapon is not bad considering you are getting 13 icons. It could be a little more expensive considering the step ups do almost double this but cost four to almost six times as much. There isn't a lot of middle ground weapons available. None worth a decent price in my opinion.

Tactical: (2/3) - There isn't a solid constant shield for this but the cheapest partial blocker is relatively inexpensive and the shields at the next sets higher than this one will block more but still not all. You will always be slipping at least a few icons through.

Defenses/Countermeasures: (1/2) - Being partially blocked by most of all the most common shields is not ideal in my opinion but since it can't be fully blocked besides Thick Smoke Bomb or Thyoras Tear it makes this one of the best weapons for slipping icons around big shields. Not even the Hubrid Nox Memorial Shield can fully block this.

Overall Score: (7/10) - This weapon is wonderful in that it can slip different icons past four of the most common Battledome shields around. Just be prepared to only be landing 2-4 icons at most when encountering these shields.

Wand of Reality

(13 Icons: 5light, 5air, 3physical icons)
Approximately: 1,800,000 NP

The harder to find yet weaker of the duo, this weapon is still a good alternative to other 13 icon staples.

Power to Price: (2/5) - The icons here still stack up to 13 but the light and physical icons are just too easy to block these days. With a price tag of 1.5mil-2mil it is just too expensive for a potential 5 icons for most 2P battles.

Tactical: (1/3) - It is going to be hard using this on your opponent considering most the Hubrid Nox Memorial Shield is so common, if you are battling similarly priced sets then this is a better alternative to the Bow of Destiny because it is harder to block at that level. You will rarely have that convenience however and as such this weapon is simply outdated.

Defenses/Countermeasures: (1/2) - The Hubrid Nox Memorial Shield flat out stops this weapon where as if you are battling strictly in this price range then you are going to find little to stop this weapon.

Overall Score: (4/10) - This really is only useful for specific 1P battles and if you are fighting with set limits or similarly priced set opponents.

Main Shop

Ridiculously Heavy Battle Hammer

(9 icons: 3air, 3earth, 3physical icons)
Approximately: 12,000 NP

Power to Cost: (5/5) 12k for only 9 icons is amazing, before the release of this weapon and similar Main Shop weapons it would cost 100k+ to get this many icons. If you are truly looking at icon:neopoint ratios this is up there with the best.

Tactical: (2/3) - This weapon utilizes 3 icons which is good, the air icons are harder to block than the earth and physical. Don't be expecting to land all 9 icons consistently unless your opponent is really not prepared for a battle at all.

Defenses/Countermeasures: (0/2) - Unfortunately the Shiny Shoal Shield, one of the most common shields in this price range, completely decimates this weapon leaving it with only 0-2 icons. Dual wield for best effect against shields such as that. The higher end shields shut it down completely.

Overall Score: (7/10) - A very fair rating for a good weapon, nothing is guaranteed especially in 2P but with a little luck and a good secondary weapon this is a staple until you increase your budget.

Rainbow Scroll

Approximately: 11,000 NP

Power to Cost: (5/5) - Again 9 icons for only 11k this is an amazing deal. Considering the disbursement of icons this mixture is even stronger than the Ridiculously Heavy Battle Hammer. Considering the step ups and alternatives almost all cost more than this weapon you really can't go wrong here.

Tactical: (2/3) - The icon mixture here is pretty good, the 3 air icons and the 3 water icons are hard to block and the light icons can be hard to block at this level as well. Be prepared to have part of your icons blocked but you'll be looking at slipping a few more through the common shields than most of the alternatives.

Defenses/Countermeasures: (1/2) - Shiny Shoal Shield is going to hurt this the worse, dropping it down to only 3 light icons. The slightly more common Leaf Shield reduces this to 6 icons. Overall it can't be completely shut down at these levels and it slips icons past most of the common shields.

Overall Score: (8/10) - Considering that the Hubrid Nox Memorial Shield is the only defense that flat out stops this weapon and it will still slip a few icons past Faerie Tabard and Ghostkershield this is definitely a bargain for the price tag.

Armour/Shields:

Hidden Tower Shields (Active Only):

Hubrid Nox Memorial Shield

(Defends ALL light, 5water, 5air, 5earth, 5physical icons)
Approximately: 8,100,000 NP

This is the best shield available in the game hands down. There is no upgrade for the amount of defense it provides.

Power to Price: (5/5) - For only 8mil this is a steal, this shield destroys so many different weapons that it is extremely difficult finding ways to land icons around its mighty defense. Buy a few of these when you get the chance. If ever they go retired their value will skyrocket!

Tactical: (3/3) - Lets pretend it doesn't block light at all for just a second... it still blocks up to 20 icons for only 8mil? Wow! Now factor in some of the better light icon weapons... this can literally shut the Sword of Thigl down except on the rare occasion that the Sword does a lot of Physical icons and even then it isn't likely to make much of a difference since you are more than likely dampening your opponents secondary constant. The beginner to intermediate Battledome sets don't stand a chance against this mighty shield. Approach with caution.

Countermeasures: (2/2) - The only two feasible options here would be the Sword of Reif and the Sword of Skardsen. Since there are plenty of flame reflectors, and now thanks to the Frozen Cyrodrake Shield full blocker for fire, you should be able to gap the hole here fairly easily. The Sword of Skardsen can also be reduced to next to nothing with the use of the Hanso Charisma Charm which at this point should be a staple in any good Battledome set. Those are both weapons fairly common at this level but they are among the very few ways to get around this shield and not enough of a threat to warrant losing a point over.

Overall Score: (10/10) - Hands down the best shield for so many different reasons. Gap the two holes this shield leaves you with and you have it made.

Dr. Sloths Personal Body Armour

Approximately: 5,500,000 NP

The cheaper and weaker version of the Hubrid Nox Memorial Shield.

Power to Cost: (4/5) - While though the price tag is nothing the sneer at it is important to note that you can pick up a Hubrid Nox Memorial Shield for right around 8mil and you will have a vastly superior shield.

Tactical: (2/3) - Full blocker and a variation in icons disbursement is always nice but this doesn't work well when paired with a Hanso Charisma Charm which is very common in the Battledome.

Countermeasures: (2/2) - The only icons that go unscathed here are air and fire and so those are the only two you need to worry about. Though at this level you will find the Sword of Reif and the Sword of Ari both fairly common.

Overall Score: (8/10) - It is not horrible but it is no where near as good as the Hubrid Nox Memorial Shield or the Faerie Tabard. This is merely the cheap way to go to get a pretty decent shield. My recommendation? Save the other 1.5mil or so and just get a Hubrid Nox Memorial Shield.

Ghostkershield

(Defends ALL dark, 3air, 5earth, 3light, 5phsycial icons.)
Approximately: 6,300,000 NP

This was the best shield period back in the day and it is still pretty good just not as valuable and essential as it once was.

Power to Price: (3/5) - 6.8mil is no longer worth it for this full dark blocker, for just 1.8mil more you can get a Hubrid Nox Memorial Shield and a Hanso Charisma Charm. It is still defending xdark, 3air, 5earth, 3light, and 5phsyical icons but seriously just wait and purchase where it counts.

Tactical: (1/3) - Ignoring the existence of the Hanso Charisma Charm this is the best weapon to use against massive dark and was released to counter the Sword of Skardsen reducing its power next to nothing (usually nothing), this shield was a staple to most sets and if you already have it go ahead and keep using it but don't go out of your way to get an outdated piece of equipment. The only gaps it has is fire and water which are both fairly common at this level of sets.

Countermeasures: (1/2) - The two Anagram Swords the Sword of Reif and Sword of Tawre, not to mention the Kelpbeards Trident, walk right past everything here but the physical and even some of those may slip by. It does take a decent chunk out of the rest of the Anagram Swords and stops Sword of Skardsen nearly dead in its tracks.

Overall Score: (5/10) - At this point you are much better off getting a Hanso Charisma Charm and Hubrid Nox Memorial Shield. This is definitely a nostalgic yet growing outdated piece of equipment.

Faerie Tabard

Approximately: 7,000,000 NP

This is the cream of the crop for shutting down water icons and this shuts Kelpbeards Trident, one of the strongest water heavy weapons, down to not a single icon. It is in this singular way that the Sword of Tawre proves to be superior as it could potentially still land 4 physical icons but it isn't likely.

Power to Price: (5/5) - Seriously this shuts down two Anagram level weapons all on its own, it hurts the Sword of Reif pretty severely and takes chunks out of the Sword of Ari and Sword of Thare for only 7.25mil this is a bargain for the potential.

Tactical: (3/3) - This is a good affordable (At this level sets) shield that will cover the basis. You'll still want a light and dark blocker handy but this will work wonders at shutting down or stifling the power of many Anagram Swords. Ultimately it lowers the power of all of them due to the 5 physical icons it blocks.

Countermeasures: (2/2) - Sure you can use a Sword of Skardsen to maximize dark icons slipping through and the Sword of Thigl for light icons, but you should already have at least a Hanso Charisma Charm long before you have this so the Sword of Skardsen shouldn't pose much of a problem. The Sword of Thigl is going to do the most damage to you if you don't have a Hubrid Nox Memorial Shield handy but even that isn't going to hit for its full potential.

Overall Score: (10/10) - This is the most affordable method to block as many icons as possible and the best defense against the Anagram Swords in general. This really is a top notch shield and I consider it a staple in my Battledome sets.

Smuggler's Cove Shields:

Frozen Cyrodrake Shield

Approximately: 15,000,000 NP

The cheapest way to fully block fire icons. This was released in the Smuggler's Cove and restocked at 300 Dubloons each.

Power to Cost: (2/5) - Nestled at 20mil currently this is the only feasible way to block fire icons on multiple turns. Way overpriced considering its Hidden Tower counterparts (I am referring to the Hubrid Nox Memorial Shield, Faerie Tabard, Ghostkershield, and Dr. Sloths Personal Body Armour) are more effective and less than half the current price.

Tactical: (2/3) - This knocks the Sword of Reif down to just the physical icons, the Sword of Ari gets reduced to 10 air icons and 2-9 physical icons, and this completely shuts down the Portable Kiln. You will still need another shield to bridge the many holes in this shield however the Sword of Reif became common through its ability to go unscathed through most shields that is no longer the case.

Countermeasures: (0/2) - It really is too easy to walk right past this, Anagram Swords (and Anagram level weapons) alone you have the Sword of Skardsen, Sword of Thare, Sword of Tawre, and Kelpbeards Trident don't even lose a single icon to this shield. The Sword of Ari and Sword of Thigl are not reduced enough to be detrimental to effectiveness.

Overall Score: (4/10) - It really is awesome that we got us a full fire blocker, but it should have at least been on par with the Hubrid Nox Memorial Shield if they were intending on keeping this one Smuggler's Cove exclusive.

Alien Aisha Scrambler

Approximately: 450,000,000 NP

Power to Cost: (2/5) - This is a rather expensive way to fully block two icons multiple times in a single battle. The real benefit is when your opponent is using heavy air or light icons for offensive. This crushes powerful weapons such as the Sword of White Lies and is beneficial to stomping two of the Anagram swords into dust.

Tactical: (2/3) - It only blocks two icons instead of a spread of icons but it stops them completely. A good shield to use if you know your opponents set fairly well and happen to know they rely heavily on air and light icons. Ghostkersword, Pirate Captains Cutlass, and the Sword of White Lies are all severely crippled by this piece of equipment.

Countermeasures: (1/2) - Simply use icons other than air and light and you'll walk all over this. Sword of Skardsen, Sword of Thare, Sword of Tawre, Sword of Reif, and the Kelpbeards Trident are all good ways to slip right through this shield.

Overall Score: (5/10) - Not a horrible shield if you know what your opponent is bringing to the table, for all around defense though I recommend using a Hubrid Nox Memorial Shield.

Main Shop Shields:

Patched Magic Hat

Approximately: 75,000 NP

Power to Cost: (5/5) - Very powerful for being so cheap and this is one of the better lower end shields at that. Considering it partially blocks several of the intermediate plot and NQ II weapons this is a great shield.

Tactical: (3/3) - Considering it will even knock a few icons off the Anagram swords it is most effective against the Sword of Thare and the Sword of Thigl that doesn't mean it doesn't at least help lessen the heavy blow of all of them because it does. This also effectively partially blocks Brynns Legendary Sword of Wraith Smiting, Jade Staff gets stopped, Golden Compass gets partially blocked, Stone Club is heavily partially blocked, as is Psellias Fighting Fan. The list goes on and on.

Countermeasures: (1/2) - You can easily avoid this if you are using dark, fire, air, or water especially if you are using a weapon that deals heavily in just one of those such as the Portable Kiln or the Maractite Battleduck.

Overall Score: (9/10) - One of the best shields you can get for the price. This isn't as powerful as the upgraded version, Sophies Magic Hat, but this is still very effective at partially blocking a large range of weapons.

Sophies Magic Hat

(Defends 5earth, 3fire, 3dark, 3physical icons)
Approximately: 170,000 NP

Power to Cost: (4/5) - Considering how cheap the downgrade is this shield loses a single point for being slightly overpriced but still very effective for the price tag. This blocks a potential 14 icons every turn and only runs around 150k very cost effective to block a wide range of weapons.

Tactical: (3/3) - This blocks or partially blocks a very large range of weapons such as Ylanas Blaster, Brynns Legendary Sword of Wraith Smiting, Bow of Destiny, Werelupe Claw Necklace, Sword of Apocalypse and even Hanso Charisma Charm are all hurt by this blocker.

Countermeasures: (1/2) - The fact that so many lower end weapons still slip quite a few icons through the holes in this shield it wouldn't hurt to have a back up plan. Ramtors Spellbook and Scuzzys Comb both are effective at slipping seven icons right past this and Pike Pike isn't even harmed by this.

Overall Score: (8/10) - Partially blocking a wide range of weapons is great but that also means that a wide range of weapons will still be hurting you. So if you don't know your opponents set then this is a pretty decent way to go about blocking a range of possible attacks.

Healers:

Greater Healing Scroll

(Heals upto 50 HP - No Overheal)
Approximately: 95,000 NP

The only downside to this cheap healer is that you lack the overheal (Which I've never found to be that useful.)

Power to Price: (4/5) - The only thing I'm gonna knock about this healer is that it does not Overheal and if your HP is greater than 125 you need to find a more effective healer. Until you can afford it though this is a great piece of equipment for a great price.

Tactical: (4/5) - If you find Overheal to be useful this isn't the healer for you. Overheal is when you Heal your pet and it ends up with more HP then its max HP, example 89/85 HP. There are two main strategies for using healers, early in battle and last second heal. If you are using this early in battle then as soon as your HP drops to 50 or more less than your pets Max HP you use the Greater Healing Scroll. Example: your HP is 35/85 then you would use your Greater Healing Scroll + another item. The late in battle strategy is really geared for higher HP pets. You use this towards the end of battle to keep your HP up long enough to finish your opponent. Your pets HP is 35/190 then you use Greater Healing Scroll to stay in the battle longer.

Overall Score: (8/10) - This is one of the best healers you are going to have before you start delving into the multi-heal and higher end Scorchstone range. There are some species specific healers and the Bag of Healing Dust are other options worth looking at.

Bag of Healing Dust

Approximately: 9,500,000 NP

This will heal upto a Maximum of 50% your Max HP. This is a great item for getting some breathing room.

Power to Cost: (3/5) - If you have a higher HP Battledome pet and have about 10mil-12mil sitting around then I strongly recommend getting your hands on one of these or a Species Specific healer of the same effect. I wouldn't recommend this unless your HP is 250+

Tactical: (3/5) - The only good strategy to employ with this healer is the end game heal to prolong the battle. Your opponent may anticipate you using this or a similar healer and bombard you with a hard hit. It is all about timing so try and use it when you still have a turn or two before you hit critical levels based on how much your opponent is averaging in damage per attack.

Overall Score: (6/10) - This is a bit expensive for my taste, I tend to have a species that can use one of the Species Specific alternatives which cost several million less. You can always pick up a Morphing Potion to Morph into a species that has one of those Species Specific 50% Healers. I hear those are common amongst our crowd

Green Scorchstone

(Heals 40 HP, Overheal)
Approximately: 500,000 NP

Closest semi-affordable healer to the Greater Healing Scroll that provides Overheal.

Power to Cost: (2/5) - At 300k to heal 40 HP it is fine for if you have a lot of Neopoints to toss around but you are better off just saving your change and getting a better healer. At early levels this works wonders but unless you are rich and for the first time starting the Batlledome I would steer clear of this one.

Tactical: (4/5) - If your HP is less than 100 then this is a great healer if you can get a good deal on it. The Overheal is the best feature though I personally don't find it to be overly useful. Basically take one free hit in 1P and adds to your health for 2P but I find it more tactful to use Scorchstones late in battle.

Overall Score: (6/10) - It isn't a horrible healer it is just the price tag that makes me grimace. If it healed for more HP and cost that much it would win me over as a superior to the Greater Healing Scroll but alas it is not.

Blue Scorchstone

Approximately: 90,000 NP

Power to Cost: (2/5) - 30 HP isn't great considering you can get a Greater Healing Scroll for the same price. You are paying for the Overheal feature here and that doesn't seem worth it to me when there is a 20 HP difference between the two items.

Tactical: (3/5) - If your HP is 75 or less then this is a good Healer to use either on your first turn or your last. The Overheal is what you are paying for so you may as well maximize early on else just get the alternative.

Overall Score: (5/10) - Just doesn't really seem worth buying this when there is a Healer the same price that doesn't have Overheal available. If you have your heart set on Scorchstones you may as well save for the step up and take advantage early on in battles.

Leaded Elemental Vial

Power To Cost: (3/5) - This is the cheaper of the two full healers on the market. Full heal is hard to come by and this more or less gives your battle a fresh start besides your once per battle items. When dealing with very high HP pets this is a life saver. It is pretty expensive and if you are not careful when equipping it you could accidentally use it as a potion and waste all those Neopoints.

Tactical: (4/5) - If you have a very high HP pet (Greater than 500 HP) then this is essentially a staple. If you have less than the standard 500 HP (considered high HP by many Battledomers) then just go with a Bag of Healing Dust or species healer.

Overall Score: (7/10) - It is a great piece of equipment but focus on increasing stats, getting better weapons, shields, and freezers before getting this. 50% heal should serve most of your needs until you can get one of these.

Freezers:

The cheapest 100% all species Freezer available.

Power to Cost: (4/5) - For 75k-100k a pop these are well worth using in my opinion. Despite the chance to break permanently this is the cheapest all species 100% Freezer available. Considering the cheapest 100% Once Per Battle Freezer is the H4000 Helmet this should be a staple until you upgrade to that.

Tactical: (5/5) - It is 100% Freeze whether it breaks permanently or not. On a Tactical end of things this is as good as any other 100% Freezer.

Overall Score: (9/10) - Can't knock it for being Fragile because of how cheap it is. If you are looking for a very cheap 100% Freezer if you have a Lupe then get an Ancient Lupe Wand, it is also Fragile but it only breaks around 15% of the time and is about a quarter of the cost of this.

H4000 Helmet

This is the cheapest 100% Once Per Battle Freezer in the game.

Power to Cost: (4/5) - Currently sitting at 6.5mil and it is still the cheapest way to go for 100% Freeze without worrying about it breaking.

Tactical: (5/5) - 100% Freeze, hard to argue with that.

Overall Score: (9/10) - This has long been a staple to most Battledome Sets. You may as well save up for a Freezing Potion before buying this just for the simple fact that the Freezing Potion is 100% Freeze and it does 2 water icons.

Stealers:

Purple Sticky Hand

Power to Cost: (4/5) - For the price this is a steal, no pun intended.

Tactical: (3/5) - It is just lacking a little in that gives this to your opponent if you are successful for the duration of the battle and it only actually steals around 50% of the time. Furthermore, when it does steal it is only ever going to take whatever your opponent has in their number one slot for their equipment.

Overall Score: (7/10) Not much needs to be said, this is a great Stealer for the price and perfect for the beginner to intermediate levels.

Heavy Robe of Thievery

The only reason that anyone would purposely increase their Speed. This review is based on the assumption you already have the required stats to use this for the 100% Steal rate.

Power to Cost: (5/5) - For being buyable this is a really amazing weapon to use. 100% steal rate and it doesn't go to your opponent like the Sticky Hand stealers do! It just disappears. It still pulls the piece of equipment your opponent has in their number one spot.

Tactical: (5/5) - It always steals the item and it always disappears so that your opponent can't use it against you. If they do steal it from you and they don't have the necessary stats to wield it as a Stealer then they are stuck with an item that only blocks two light icons. Stick this in your number one slot and you're good to go!

Overall Score: (10/10) - Top of the line Stealer that is both non-species and very affordable. Can't get any better than that.

Defensive Equipment:

Thick Smoke Bomb

If you have a pet level 250+ then you can go to the Secret Ninja Training School and purchase these for 9,000 NP a pop. You can find them on the SW for 10,000 NP or less.

Power to Cost: (4/5) - This is the "Anti-Bomb" of the Battledome universe. For 10k you effectively stop your opponents attack for an entire turn, the only types of damage this does not protect you from is unblockable and HP drain. Loses a point for being Single Use.

Tactical: (5/5) - You can use this right at the start of battle to more or less get a free hit on your opponent or you can use this towards the end of battle to stop your opponent from finishing you off. A good combo late in battle is to toss this and heal at the same time. 100% block is as good as it gets.

Overall Score: (9/10) - Affordable and VERY effective for the price tag. I recommend using this over Downsize! for the effectiveness.

Thyoras Tear

Power to Cost: (1/5) - This is extremely expensive and is only cost efficient if you are using at least 4,501 Thick Smoke Bomb's.

Tactical: (5/5) - Still 100% block is extremely useful and best if used with a Healer late in battle, especially for high HP pets.

Overall Score: (6/10) - It really just isn't cost efficient to be using this unless you battle at least 13 times daily and use Thick Smoke Bomb's.

Downsize!

(Blocks 50% ALL icons - Once Per Battle)
Approximately: 5,000 NP

Power to Cost: (4/5) - For the price this isn't bad at all just a few thousand Neopoints and you can effectively block half of your opponents icons. It is only blocking half though not any higher and you can get the Single Use item the Thick Smoke Bomb for about double this for double the effectiveness. Gains a point here for being Once Per Battle and not Single Use.

Tactical: (2/5) - Unfortunately only blocking half the icons your opponent is dishing out is going to change your strategy a little. Instead of waiting until the end of battle to block you are wanting to do it around 2/3 of the way through the battle with your healer. Since it only blocks half the icons it gets a 50% rating there.

Overall Score: (6/10) - Not a bad piece of equipment especially for the price but I prefer blocking all of my opponents attack, not just part of it.

Downsize Power Plus

This retired item is only pretty to look at these days.

Power to Cost: (1/5) - The only reason it even gets a point here is because it still blocks 100% but it is Single Use! At 6-7.5mil this is extremely overpriced, especially when considering that the Thick Smoke Bomb does exactly the same thing for only 10k.

Tactical: (5/5) - If you insist on completely wasting your Neopoints and using this you won't be disappointed, for a single round it will block all icons your opponent dishes out. Use with a Healer for maximum effectiveness.

Overall Score (6/10) - It really isn't deserving a score that high as this is just a collectors item at this point. Get for your gallery but not for your set.

The most cost efficient way of countering fire icons.

Power to Cost: (5/5) - The only things I have negative to say about this shield is that it reflects icons and it only reflects 75% not 100% of the fire icons being dished out. That is not going to knock the rating though since it consistently reflects the same amount of icons unlike its counterparts.

Tactical: (2/3) - Reflection isn't my favorite since it is based on your opponents boosts and not your own. I am a rare form of BDer who goes for the higher Strength boost over higher HP so you may find this to be more useful if you go for higher Defense and higher HP builds.

Countermeasures: (0/2) - For the reflectors we are going to assume that your opponent is using fire icons and you are reflecting based on your opponents boost. If you don't know your opponent then you have a 50/50 chance at doing more damage based on this boost. To avoid any of the fire reflectors being used just don't use fire icons at all.

Overall Score: (7/10) - At 6.5mil the price tag for a 75% block isn't too shabby.

U-Bend

The weakest and cheapest water reflector.

Power to Cost: (1/5) - Okay for just a couple hundred Neopoints this is great for defending water icons if your budget is 10k. Since you can make that in about 5 minutes playing games legit I am thinking that you can afford the upgrade at the very least, the Super U-Bend. It is also FRAGILE.

Tactical: (0/3) - Not really the great considering it only reflects 25% of the water icons. You are still getting slammed and barely reflecting anything at all.

Countermeasures: (0/2) - At this level you have so many other options and you are better off just using a different icon set if you are really concerned about this weak reflector.

Overall Score: (1/10) - It really just isn't a good idea to waste your time or Neopoints here. Just get the Super U-Bend if you are really concerned about pinching your Neopoints that much.

Super U-Bend

(Reflects 50% of water icons, Fragile)

The double powered version of the U-Bend.

Power to Cost: (2/5) - This has 50% reflection of water icon power for only around 2k. Its not a bad price but the thing is still Fragile and you are still only reflecting half the water icons.

Tactical: (1/3) - Twice as effective as its very cheap counterpart this Super U-Bend will send half the water icons sent your way back at your opponent. If you can't afford a better water shield or water reflector then get this as many Battledome users have Kelpbeards Trident which is very heavy on water icons.

Countermeasures: (0/2) Just use anything other than water icons and you'll avoid the affects completely.

Overall Score: (3/10) - Still not a very good reflector you will need to save and just get the upgrade to this, the Mega U-Bend to really start being effective.

Mega U-Bend

This is the big brother and last of the Main Shop water reflectors.

Power to Cost: (3/5) - Its hard to give this a lower score here since it is a multiple use with no chance of breaking but they are r99 and restock so rarely that the price tag is pretty steep. You are better off saving just a few hundred thousand more and getting the U-Bend of Great Justice from the Hidden Tower line.

Tactical: (2/3) - Partially reflecting a heavy water attack is useful especially 75% of it. The only thing bad I am going to say is that you can get the upgrade to this for not a whole lot more.

Countermeasures: (0/2) - As with all reflectors it is easy to avoid being hit by reflection. Just don't use the icons affiliated with the reflector, in this case you should use anything but water icons.

Overall Score: (5/10) - Not as bad as its much cheaper counterparts the 75% reflection is much better than the weaker versions in more than one way.

Ultra Dual Shovel

Approximately: 18,000,000 NP

Power to Cost: (4/5) - This is the strongest earth reflector in the game and the real solid counter to the Attack Pea series of weapons. The price tag is pretty steep but in terms of reflection this is as good as it gets.

Tactical: (2/3) - Since you don't reflect 100% this is about as good as it gets in terms of earth reflection. This is a good alternative to the 100% earth blockers like the Pirate Captains Hat.

Countermeasures: (0/2) - Just avoid using earth icons or use a very small amount of earth icons.

Overall Score: (6/10) - The price tag is heavy and your only dealing with reflection so plan your strategy carefully before venturing into battle against an opponent heavily using earth.

Retired Reflectors:

The predecessor and more powerful variation of the Flame Reflectozap, this is still a powerful weapon in the Battledome Circuit.

Power to Cost: (3/5) - Sitting around 20mil you are better off getting a Frozen Cyrodrake Shield and just stopping the fire attack from your opponent. Being retired has only escalated the prices beyond reasonable value for normal situations.

Tactical: (2/3) - The only thing I am going to knock this on is that it deals with a variable and you are not going to know for sure if it is going to reflect 100% of the icons back at your opponent.

Countermeasures: (0/2) To avoid any of the fire reflectors being used just don't use fire icons at all. Given that the damage based is on your opponents boosts you are probably better off using a blocker and attacking yourself.

Overall Score: (5/10) It is more effective but more than three times as expensive as its weaker r99 counterpart. Your best bet is blocking the fire icons and attacking with your own weapon at this price range.

Hidden Tower Reflectors:

U-Bend of Great Justice

Approximately: 1,550,000 NP

The Hidden Tower water reflector, this is as good as water reflection gets.

Power to Cost: (5/5) - For only about 750k more than the Mega U-Bend this reflector can potentially reflect 100% of your opponents water icons right back in their face! Great weapon for the price.

Tactical: (2/3) - While though I am still weary of both reflectors and variable stats this is still as good as it gets for reflecting water. This is especially good if your opponents boosts are higher than your own.

Countermeasures: (1/2) - Just use a different icon type like fire icons to slip right past this and make your opponent waste a slot for a turn. A good strategy to use is to use water icons, let your opponent see that you have them, then on your next turn use a different icon like fire icons to make them waste their attempted reflection. Then on your next turn do another heavy water attack and they more than likely would have adjusted their defense for that turn to block your new icon type and thus you get to hit them pretty hard 2-3 turns in a row!

Overall Score: (8/10) - I know that I gave this one an extra point in the countermeasure department than I gave most of the other reflectors but given a good strategy when facing this you can easily use it to your advantage if you play smarter than your opponent.

That is right this is a dual duty weapon, it defends and it attacks. Yes the attack icons are easy to partially block the only thing that is going to stop it outright that I know of is the Hubrid Nox Memorial Shied.

Power to Cost: (5/5) - Being under 1mil makes this a truly powerful item that should be a staple in every BD set. The only alternative to this costs nearly 12x as much.

Tactical: (2/3) - Not much can be said about the dual duty status. You're shutting down dark icons completely encouraging your opponent into using a different weapon alternative AND you're dealing some damage unless they are using a Hubrid Nox Memorial Shield and if they are not and instead using a partial blocker then you are still slipping a few icons through and doing damage while still blocking.

Defenses/Countermeasures: (1/2) - The amount of partial blockers is unfortunately among the more common low to middle class Battledome set standards such as the Patched Magic Hat and Devious Top Hat. The Hubrid Nox Memorial Shield, a now common higher set staple, shuts out the attack completely.

Overall Score: (8/10) - It is hard to find flaws in such a great weapon, I really feel it is more of a weapon than a shield because it is so offensive for so few Neopoints... these will start being less valuable when they have crept into the 2-3mil range. We still have a long way to go!

Ring of the Lost

Approximately: 3,950,000 NP

Before the release of the Hanso Charisma Charm this was a great dual duty weapon.

Power to Cost: (2/5) - Considering that the Hanso Charisma Charm costs much less then what this nostalgic weapon costs it is best to leave this one for collectors. It still scores a point for being effective but it is not nearly as valuable as it once was.

Tactical: (2/3) - This still blocks all dark icons and can slip at least a few icons past everything but the Pirate Captains Hat. Considering the Pirate Captains Hat is Semi-Fragile (meaning it can break for remaining duration of battle) it shouldn't pose too much of a thread.

Defenses/Countermeasures: (1/2) - If you are trying to slip some icons through the defense of this just use pretty much anything besides dark icons. If you are trying to stop the offensive icons then Pirate Captains Hat should do the trick, alternatively the Hubrid Nox Memorial Shield takes care of the light icons and the Faerie Tabard shuts down the fire.

Overall Score: (5/10) - Tactfully it is still a good Battledome weapon but this is really only suitable for collectors if you really want this item for Battledome usage just get a Hanso Charisma Charm.

Dual-Duty Main Shop Items:

Devious Top Hat and Cane

(2air, 2physical - Blocks 3light, 3earth, 3 OR 6physical icons)
Approximately: 125,000 NP

This is very similar to the Patched Magic Hat and slightly more effective as it is a dual duty and tosses a handful of attack icons while defending.

Power to Cost: (5/5) - Okay so this costs slightly more than double what the Patched Magic Hat is running but that doesn't mean it isn't worth it because it really is. It's blocking a mere 2 earth icons less and dishing out a few offensive icons. This really is a bargain for the Neopoints.

Tactical: (3/3) - While though it is only going to partially block most weapons it flat out stops the Pumpkin Launcher which is very common in this price range. It also hurts the popular Hanso Charisma Charm and the fact that it is dishing out some offensive icons of its own only add to the beneficial shield that this is.

Countermeasures: (1/2) - The stuff that slips past this, besides the higher end single icon type weapons, are the Steaming Skeem Potion, Flaming Blooble Potion, and Unstable Slime.

Overall Score: (9/10) - An excellent intermediate dual-duty you are really getting your money worth out of this one.

Rusty Pitchfork

(3fire, 3earth, 5phsical icons, Defends 5physical icons)
Approximately: 600,000 NP

This is a good well rounded Dual-Duty.

Power to Cost: (4/5) - Any piece of equipment that does 16 total icons for under 1mil is a steal. Considering the fire, earth, and physical are all easy to partially block you will likely be only slipping 4-9 attack icons through it is still a great item to use as a constant.

Tactical: (3/3) - The first thing that comes to mind for me would be the Anagram swords. Since all of them deal damage with physical icons being able to block 5 of those every turn helps to weaken them. Without exception this hurts all of them and is a good shield to use when facing them if you are up against one your set isn't prepared to handle.

Countermeasures: (1/2) - Easily partial blocked by many common shields the ones that do the most damage here would be Sophies Magic Hat and Scarab Ring, however the Faerie Tabard completely stops this.

Overall Score: (8/10) - Still a great piece of equipment especially for the intermediate Battledomer. Use this in conjunction with another constant or shield for maximum effectiveness.

Dual-Duty Retired:

(Reflects 60%-80% of fire icons, Defends 3 dark icons)
Approximately: 6,000,000 NP

The weakest and cheapest of the fire reflectors.

Power to Cost: (4/5) - Lets face it, for only 4mil this is the cheapest way to potentially reflect more fire icons than the Flame Reflectozap. I am not big on variable equipment but this one really is not bad for the price.

Tactical: (2/3) - The variable factor hurts the score since it is only in the 60%-80% range but it is still pretty good if you are playing to your opponents boosts.

Countermeasures: (0/2) - To avoid any of the fire reflectors being used just don't use fire icons at all. Reflection again isn't my favorite but it has its uses when playing against an opponent with a higher boost. There are just too many other icons that can be used to put too much stock in your opponent relying solely on heavy fire icons.

Overall Score: (6/10) - The use of this is situational but it is nice to surprise your by pulling one of these out when they least expect it.

Dual-Duty Smuggler's Cove:

Approximately: 500,000,000 NP (LAST SOLD FOR 200mil)

Back before the release of the Hubrid Nox Memorial Shield this was one of the cheapest ways to get a full light block.

Power to Cost: (1/5) - I've carefully considered this and while though the current price tag is floating around the 500mil mark this is still a decent piece of equipment as it maintains status as a Multiple Duty item. It attacks, it defends, and it drains HP from your opponent. The HP drain and the 100% block alone warrant this a decent score as you will not find a similar piece of equipment at this price range.

Tactical: (2/3) - Its a pretty solid Multiple Duty as it is doing three things all at once. When considering the score I factored this: 5 offensive icons, full icon block, and mediocre HP drain. It loses a point because you can get the Shadow Shield or the Hubrid Nox Memorial Shield much cheaper than this.

Countermeasures: (0/2) - Again this is fairly easy to work around, while though you can't do anything to stop the HP drain but you can hit hard as all of the Anagram Tier weapons work wonders here except for the Sword of Thigl. You can easily over come even a Max HP drain from this weapon if you are attacking in its weak zone with an Anagram Sword.

Overall Score: (3/10) - This is one of the cheapest pieces of Battledome equipment that starts showing the Multiple Duty status commonly associated with the Elite Sets. Since most are never going to encounter this they may have to take some time to look it up if you surprise them with it. It isn't the most cost effective way to go about doing damage, full blocking light, or raising your own HP however it can fill the role of 3 items to a degree and open up a slot or two for an additional sword or shield.

Dual-Duty Hidden Tower (Active)

(11earth, 1-10physical icons OR 3air, 3fire, 3light, 3water icons OR nothing OR 100% Freeze OR Full Heal)
Approximately: 14,000,000 NP

One of the single most inconsistent weapons but the only item available that is a multi-heal and a multi-freeze.

Power to Price: (4/5) - For what it does do it does pretty good, you either get up to 21 icons or 12 very mixed icons OR nothing OR you freeze your opponent OR you completely heal your pet. The nothing is what hurts this weapon the most as it completely wastes a turn.

Tactical: (1/3) - Considering that you can freeze and heal multiple times this is a bargain for the price. I only recommend doing this when you have a pet that has a high amount of HP and you see this battle dragging on 10+ turns. Besides adding some random to the battle you are adding some positive prospects to your arsenal. (-1 point here for the possibility of nothing, -1 point here for being random without a consistent potential outcome)

Defenses/Countermeasures: (2/3) - If it does an attack I would recommend using a shield with a good spread of icons available. The Hubrid Nox Memorial Shield leaves only the fire icons behind.

Overall Score: (7/10) - The potential for multi-full heal and multi-freeze are too great to ignore and while though the rest of the weapon is lame for the price these effects are NOT and this is the only weapon of it's kind that can deliver that.

I already have a thread for helping choose Battledome sets for different price ranges and several of these items can be found there already priced. When I have the time I will probably go through and add current prices but its likely to get out-dated and that is something I am trying to avoid.

Sorry that the many Spoilers annoy you but I need them to help me keep it all organized in different categories. The de-spoiler version I had of this was too much for me to keep organized properly and I would have to have a different section in Alphabetical order to help newer players not get confused by what is actually weapons and what is defense or freezers or what not.

For now I am going to keep it in spoilers, just try not to open them all up at once.

Added some healers to the reviews... gonna get at least two or three freezers done before I move on to the Stealing items.

It specifies in the description that this is really geared more for 2P. I'll fix the review for the H4000 Helmet, thanks to both of you for pointing that out. I had a lapse in my sleep deprived writing session where I thought it was a year ago.

I feel as though the Scroll Of Freezing is deserving of a 10/10 despite being Fragile and I explained why I rated that in the review. The Scroll Of Freezing is the cheapest 100% all species Freezer available. The Scroll Of Freezing costs at most 1.5% what an H4000 Helmet, it is no big deal for any of us to purchase these.

I am a serious BDer and while though I don't like the inconvenience of the Fragile aspect of any item I am not going to write it off as trash because of that.

I am a stickler for formatting and while though I too think it looks better as Scroll of Freezing, my formatting is to make the first letter capitalized in each word. So Scroll Of Freezing it is and shall remain.
