I like the games and the escape. It's nice to zone out once in a while on there.

Because if I don't play neo, I'll end up playing an mmorpg which will result in my grades plummeting.

And for the flash games, they're something to do when I'm watching/listening to my online lectures.

Just started playing again for the nostalgia. I think it's safe to say a good part of my childhood/teenage years was devoted to neo and the scene.

Nostalgia, it's also why I'm obsessed with Neoquest, I remember thinking that if I defeated one enemy every day I would finish within a year <3

Rather play neopets for 10 minutes, than be consumed in League or CoD. As you get old, your attention span decreases, and bordom arises. If i do something on the pc for too long, it makes me want to punch my self in the face. Think working in the office for too long, reading docs is taking its toll. T.T

Nostalgia as well. ive been playing for so long, and i've moved a few thousand miles, gained a few personality disorders, gained a few friends and lost some more, done a few substances, both illicit and not, gone through a few boys, etc etc. so much has changed but not neo. how emotionally compelling.
as well i don't like people in general but neo people don't really piss me off because i never really interact too long with them for them to piss me off. ya.

Started playing back neopets 4 years ago to kick off my addiction to DotA... only to get hooked onto neopets... then started working a year later.. and i completely stopped playing.. and BAM~! one day after work just decided to enter neopets... and now im back to being addicted... sad.. started playing DragonNest SEA about two weeks ago... lets see if i would jump the wagon..


Conclusion... i dont really know why im still playing neopets... i just find it fun

Yeah, it hasn't been updated since 2008, same for Italian >w>...
Korean hasn't been updated since 2009, heheh. They need to bring back support for those languages! And add Russian too... /wants to use my weeaboo smilies on Neo without being told ooohh invalid character or something

I mostly play to pass the time and have a little fun.

Its also one of those gaming sites where they continue to add content but haven't completely changed the way its run. So many sites do. Anyone remember the original Bolt with tagbooks? Used to spend as much time on there as I did on Neopets. Now its more of a forum site than its former self.

I uhm.... Well I'm an artist and like to make characters out of my pets/like to code/make graphics/whatever is artistic. It helps keep me creatively productive. -nods-
Also play because I have an unfulfilled dream, like others, of being insanely rich. I don't think I'll ever become bored after that, because I could constantly repaint/change up my other pets. Or gift some. Or maybe get into battle dome like all the other rich folk.
I actually haven't used any programs for long though. I kinda wanna wait until I can do it all the right way/have time to do so, so I don't wind up endangering my main. (Won't be too long, I'm graduating high school this year so the summer/any time i take off before college is plenty of time to mess around on neo without any guilt. xD)

I play it because all the other games require full screen and I want to be able to talk to my friends again on msn while I occupy myself.

Also allows me to set limits like if I finish restocking, I go get some homework done ^^

but similar to OP I'm mostly waiting for D3 to come out and I just need something to fill my time.

I was originally introduced around 2000-2001ish by my cousins, played for a month or two. Then I restarted in 2004/2005, not so sure. played a good three years but failed to accomplish much. Stopped. Started ONCE AGAIN in mid 2009 out of curiosity and nostalgia. Stopped a year later due to increasing school work load. Started anew about a month ago for kicks. Completely forget the usernames for my old accounts + I'm remember that some of them got frozen for reasons I fail to remember. And thats how I got here.
