www.google.com/codesearch
What on earth?? Why the hell did they get rid of that. Code search has made it possible for me to code so so so so much. This is ridiculous!
Does anyone know of an alternative?

how was google codesearch used? did it provide source code for google sites? or was it like a wiki of code?

One alternative is SymbolHound Code Search: http://symbolhound.com/codesearch/
We index open source code repositories like the old Google Code Search, so it should be useful. There is also a symbol-inclusive web search option here: http://symbolhound.com/ (for searching programming related forums, question and answer sites, tutorials etc. for symbols that Google ignores)
