Yeah there are tons of other ways to contribute, you can help by posting in the item database thread on any prices that the item database has gotten outdated on.
You can help by going through and contributing in the many threads that are in the Neopet Forum section.
You can help by assisting when somebody asks a question by directing them to a thread or forum to help them or by simply answering their question.

Unpriced items and items that have changed in price need to be updated. So post for both if you notice you have an UB item that our database shows is worth 375k but you can find it easily at 225k then that needs to be updated as well.

Also, just because you're not a beta tester doesn't mean you can't sift through for bugs. Try testing the limits of the programs anyway :] You can also write up some guides and provide other services, if you possess some other skills. I've seen a few artists around make a quick neopoint or two. Maybe you could even help out with the Mystery Pic or Lenny Conundrum, or write poems. Wonder if there is a market in poems.

Hm I love to write guides actually. And Lenny Conundrum's are my thing so I'll try lurking on these boards
