Hey,

Is it bad if you were using free proxies from a website and there other were people also using the same proxy to go on neopets and cheat.

Also, if they were cheating and they got caught and neopets froze them, would this mean I'd be frozen too? as we were using the same proxy

yupm that's the problem with free proxies.


you wouldn't necessarily get frozen with them. if they had an IP ban, you'd get banned as well.

So would you say using free proxies is not a good idea as it could be considered risky?

i doubt you'd get frozen along with them, i've been using free proxies on a side for a couple of months now
every so often (a week or two) the proxy'll just ... shit out and stop working so you'll have to change to a one in a similar area.


an IP ban is when neo doesn't let you log into an account or create a new one based on your IP address.
you'll only really get one for serious offenses, not ABing or even scamming.
if you hacked with neo's system (logging into others accounts), CGed, or sold tons of accounts you would get IP banned but i haven't heard of it happening a lot.

The proxies I use stop working for me after a couple of hours sometimes minutes. It does my nut, so I change them a lot.
I don't really look at what location they are from, I just pick any lol You reckon I shouldn't do that?

yeah IMO you defs shouldn't do them, sometimes accounts get iced for "suspicious activity"
especially if you're using a proxy from india one day, then saudi arabia, then china, then russia, then the states, etc etc. i always stay within the same province/state, and near the same area too.

if they are using the same proxy, both of you will get frozen together. But that is not the problem usually, free proxies usually are rather horrible for ABing(at least those i found) and there might be an issue on the security of your account

The chances 2 people useing same proxies on neopets are slim. Don't worry about this fact much if you ask me.

That really depends on whether you're using websites recommended on neopets cheating sites like this. Generally the same popular sites will show up on Google too. Unless you're browsing through a few pages first, I wouldn't be quite so sure.

Also, if you haven't created the account you will cheat on, you may get a proxy from another country that won't be used by most ppl (ex Egypt) and feel better about the proxy you are using, but it can be a bit slower than you expect, just try and see if it works for you. I would personally stay away from US proxies

I just stopped using them altogether and just AB'd really cautiously, which has worked out great for me so far.
