My roommate just got frozen for cheating on flash games (>.<)
I feel really sorry, because I AM the one who's cheating incautiosly on my main.

Do you think she can get her account back?
And how should she so it?

Are online anagram/sudoku solver considered as cheating?

This would indicate that it is not a "Legit" main. This would indicate that it is a main that cheated and got frozen as a result. Its a risk you take while cheating.

I think she means those were the reasons TNT said, and the account was really legit.

Rather then jumping on CuteyHoney (inuendo not intended) perhaps you should have read the full post. It's not hard to understand that it could have actually been a legit main account owned by an entirely seperate person.

I got my sister into Neopets when I was at home over 10 years ago. She still has the same account, even though I cheated from the exact same connection, at the same time that she was online without the use of any proxies etc. IMO she was extremely lucky to not get iced as TNT really couldn't care less.

Do you use the same ip with your roommate? Maybe she got frozen because you cheat on that ip, and you didn't get frozen for some reason, but she did. If so, probably she won't get it back. You can always send a ticket and try your chance.

Well, if you feel really bad about it, she can turn you in in exchange for her account. lol

I think that she should be able to get her account back if she's able to give TNT a solid argument and prove that it wasn't her. It's like Soul said though, they couldn't care less or they might just discard the ticket.

    -

I once had a shell that I AB'ed on. I didn't use a proxy and I used the account from the same computer as my main.
The shell got frozen and my main is fine. I do cheat on my main though.

    That' what I mean.
    I didn't express myself clearly.

Yes, we're using the same IP address - like all in our dormatory.
And we are connected as neofriends.
But I don't get it, why she why she got frozen, when I'm the one who was cheating for trophies and avvies?
If I ABed and sent her lots of NP, then I would understand this connection.

    @Claws
What is a sold argument (sorry, I really don't know)?
"I really really can play these games by myself" ?

Edit: turn myself in? : / uhmmmm. no.
I got >300 avvies, UC pets and 50mil. She doesn't.

Maybe TNT saw your ip cheating, found out her account is played on that ip and freeze her and for some reason skipped your account? I'm not really sure, that's odd. You should both get frozen because of the same ip.

I don't think that another account (which is using the same IP like me )can get frozen,
when I am sending in high scores.

She just sent a ticket. Now we can't do nothing but wait :(

lol No, is she an NC buyer, premium? She could use that to her advantage.
Personally I'd start of with something along the lines of:

During the X years I have been playing Neopets I've come to admire the effort the Neopets team makes to keep the game fair for everyone. Although, I never thought I that it would be my account that would be terminated for cheating after putting so much time and effort into it.

    -

The more effort she/he has put into the account the better.

That's what makes it odd. Maybe she cheats/cheated once and haven't told you? Do you / does she know which score she sent made her frozen?

Did you try to get an account back? Was is successful?

I don't think that she cheated, because when I told her I cheat for avatars,
she answered that she's not interested in cheating/avatars and such.

She's a good gamer and she often makes reviewed scores.

Nope, I once had an empty shell frozen so I didn't bother trying to get it back.

My legit main was frozen for the same reason your friend was, it was the only one I didnt cheat on and none of my others were frozen, I sent in a ticket and its still open all she can do is wait around for them to either close the ticket or respond, She might as well start rebuilding if she still wants to play neo.

About your other question, i dont think a sudoku solver or anagram solver is cheating, because you are typing all the information yourself. There is a program to solve Shapeshifter by bruteforce and that is not cheating either, yes, the program thinks the answer for you but you have to manually type the shapes and everything.

From what I know, using anagram and sudoku solvers would not be considered cheating, and TNT most likely isn't able to differentiate whether a user is using an online solver or not anyways.

&The Account Recovery Ticket Guide is a good guide to creating tickets

Also, your roommate got frozen, but you didn't?

TNT would not skip over an account while freezing, especially if they notice that her account is the one cheating o3o
&There have been cases where accounts with the same IP address don't get chain frozen if they have not interacted with each other :p

So just shut up and be mine~

she should definitely at least try to get her account back by sending in a ticket. she should make sure to add as much information as possible. like number of avatars, site themes, size of shop/galery, pets names/species/colors/age/petpets, also her mail and birthdate and when she created that account ofc. if you are bilingual or have someone who could help you sending in a ticket in another language you could also try that, since the american support always is superbusy, while like the spanish or german ones usually reply faster.
furthermore i think tnt is on a freezing spree again, since someone else aswell told me how he got frozen today. oh wells.

If it's a university connection, they can probably see that it's public and multiple people are accessing the net through the same ip. Considering the lackluster intellect at TNT, they could have mixed up the account that was cheating with the one that wasn't. It wouldn't be the first time.

The reason of being frozen is not the same, but we'll give it a try.

We're interacting a lot. We're regularly gifting each other items and such.
If they haven't frozen my account while freezing hers, that means that I'm safe? :x3:

It's an university connection. But every floor of our dorm apparently have an own IP?
When I can't watch streamed movie anymore (because I watched too long), I can go to another floor to watch it.
I think, that's just us 2 or 3, who play Neopets with this IP.

A bunch of people have gotten their accounts back after being frozen, it's just that if you were actually cheating on it your chances of retrieving your account(s) back are lowered
