I am sure the amount is random, but it's set before hand for each player. There's a new value in the url when you discard stuff maybe that acts as counter. It is like the Old Grumpy King avatar. You get it always when you meet the requirements (but meeting those requirements it's the random part).

This seems like a more likely solution to the Rubbish avatar, compared to discarding a certain number specifically, or specific items. I'ma wait it out. I've already discarded 3~4k items and haven't gotten it. So, I'm no going to bother doing anything else until someone finds a solution. I'd bother to help, but I'm incredibly lazy...

Yeah, that just means checked discard or something like that, I believe.

I got the avatar after discarding about 8k worth of items. I got it discarding 10 bucket of sludge

Question here. Lets say I discarded 30 items at once with quick stock. Does that count as 30 seperate discards towards the avatar or just one?

It gets counted as seperate 30 discards. Lots of people who got avatar around 5-6k discards followed that way to reach their 5-6k discards and got the avatar. Discarding 1 by 1 is jsut wasting time, it seems..

Isn't there any chance that we don't see it change but it actually does something? I am not sure thats why I said maybe. I didn't count my discarded items either, but it was around 4500-5000 too.

It doesn't matter if you discard 10 or 50 or 70 at a time. if you dicard 30, it counts as 30 etc.
