It would take a considerable effort to make it UB, there are quite a number of hoggers with stamp count above 100 around. it would be better to hog other stamps that are lower in quantity such as governor's mansion etc.

then again, i bet yung already have plenty of those

Spread out on isolated safe accounts I have counted and currently have only 27 Governors Mansion Stamp, much less than I have in other rare stamps.

The thought of selling 500 unbuyable stamps sounds soul crushing to me. I'd probably put them all in my shop even if their real price was 1 million.

10 Stamps valued at 1.1mil equals 11mil. To me that equals an Anagram Sword and those are easy to sell items that retain their value for the most part between 10.1mil~11mil. Small price to pay to unload that many stamps at once especially at that price.

Alternatively 55-56 Anagram Swords for all of them.

Do retired UB stamps ever appear in say, random events? Like falling from the neopian sky?

There are no random stamp events. Only random events for collectable cards, paintbrushes and a few others.

The only way to obtain a few of the probably none existent retired stamps would be from Dr sloth auctions held every month

If you mean the The Discarded Magical Blue Grundo Plushie of Prosperity Stamp, it was rewarded for completing a Masks of Dread quest (last October)
