Hi all, I recently decided to try ABing with Abrosia. The account is 4 months+ old, I have not been RS banned, and I have checked that I am logged in, but Abrosia does not buy any items.

General Settings
Spoiler

Main Shop Settings
Spoiler

Igloo and Attic are turned off.

The "# Items in Shop" is always 0, and after running Abrosia for 3 hours, it hasn't even attempted to buy anything. It only registered a random event. I tried using the Manual Lists, setting it to an item i can see in the shops, but even that returned "# of Items in shop: 0" and no attempts to buy it at all. Logging into the site manually works fine for me, so I'm really not sure what else I could check or try to make it actually buy things.

Any help would be appreciated!

Okay, I've tried setting profit to 1 and set it to use the main Neocodex lists. It's still not buying anything, but every now and then, it'll say something like (1/235) or (2/235) when the status changes to "Visiting a shop." I'm not too sure what that means.

If I'm not wrong 235 would stand for the number of refreshs it will take before it switch shops.

Which shop are you ab-ing in? If # of Items in shop: 0 then I doubt there's anything there for you to buy. :)

Right now, the program is visiting the Magical Bookshop. I definitely see items in there when I check in with my legit account, although I guess since those technically have negative profit, that would mean Abrosia registers 0 items in the shop? The thing that leads me to believe it isn't working is because when I set it to using a manual list, and I just enter a few items definitely listed in the shop, it still refuses to buy anything.

Abrosia registers every item in the shop, even if it's -ve profit.
Perhaps there's an error on the program manager's side, since it's just back up from downtime. xD

I guess it could be bad timing! I tried to run Abrosia first on Saturday or Sunday, I think, a bit before our servers went down. Decided to try again now that we're back. I even re-installed the program manager earlier today.

Has anyone made Abrosia work so far?

I'm getting error messages when loading program manager. I'll try again later tonight. xD

FWIW, a re-install of the program manager fixed the error messages for me. Abrosia sadly still not working!

Thanks, I got abrosia working. It shows # items in shops: 21, so it's working fine.

The only possibility I can think of is that you're restock banned. Log into your ab account and give it a check
Or try igloo ab-ing with abrosia. Both restock banned and disable msab.

I've checked the shops manually on my AB account as well. I can see items in the shop when I'm on Firefox, so I don't think I'm RS-banned. When I tried the Igloo only option, I got this error.

Exception in thread Thread-110:
Traceback (most recent call last):

HTMLParseError: bad end tag: '</scr"+"ipt>', at line 155, column 652

Just an update: I tried Abrosia on my main account without the VPN connection and it worked fine. It's on the same computer. Is there anything about a particular VPN connection or account that might cause Abrosia to fail at parsing the items in a shop? I didn't think my VPN was all that slow, since I can surf neo normally & play games without too many issues. They're both using the same theme and everything. Just different locations.

The VPN must be altering the page content so Abrosia is unable to understand it as it normally would.

Yep. Just tried the program through a free proxy and Abrosia is working fine. *scratches head* Is this something that happens with all VPN connections, since they all encrypt your data?

Most of them should reassemble the html properly but some of them (such as yours) seem to end up with malformed html which can't be understand by Abrosia. Perhaps some other people know of some VPN/VPS which will work properly with Abrosia.

It sounds to me as though your VPN is encountering massive amounts of lag, a couple of the HMA VPN's have that issue where they simply don't work with Abrosia mainly due to the amount of lag that occurs when running the VPN. Just get a few cheap private proxy's since you probably are only ABing on 2-4 accounts and use the VPN to micromanage the rest of your accounts.

Thanks for your help everyone! I guess it's time to shop around for a cheap paid proxy.

The problem is with your specific VPN. Maybe submit a support ticket?

HTMLParseError: bad end tag: 'HTMLParseError: bad end tag: '</scr"+"ipt>', at line 155, column 652', at line 155, column 652

The HTML Parse library simply reads through an HTML file looking at every single html tag, and everything between the tag. ITs a simple way to read HTML.

The issue that I see is that the HTML file that the program is downloading through the VPN says a tag that looks like this </scr"+"ipt> when it should look like this </script>. Something between neopets and your computer is changing that. I would explain this to your vpn provider and see if they can help, or find another one.

Not lag at all.
