The Festival of Neggs is here as of today. I have never done this event before (I have heard that it sucks) but I figured I'd give it a shot this year. So far it seems kind of like the Masks of Dread only much more lengthy.

First you go to the Festival of Neggs page to read the clues, then you look around in the world that they're referencing for neggs.

  • Every day Kari, The Negg Faerie will ask you to find one Patterned Plastic Negg in a certain part of Neopia. She will give you riddles to use as clues to know where to look for the negg.
  • "The Real Negg Faerie" (The Yurble Janitor dressed as a faerie) will ask you to find a Mini Patterned Plastic Negg for him. He has a personal vendetta against Kari it seems. This part is optional.
  • There will also be 10 bonus Plain Plastic Neggs per day hidden around Neopia that you can find. If you collect all 10 and turn them in before the end of the day, you will receive a bonus prize. This is also optional.
  • There will likely be an avatar awarded for turning in all Patterned Plastic Neggs to Kari before the next day's clue is given.
  • You can go back and find the Main/Mini Neggs from previous days, but you cannot go back and find the Plain Plastic Neggs if you missed the day.
The NC Side
Of course there is a NC Mall side to this event.

You can purchase these nifty Negg Enlargers to enlarge any of the mini neggs you find. Each one will give you a NC item prize. You have to use a new enlarger for every mini plastic egg. They cost 125 NC.

Ah.. ha.. haha, welp! I wonder if we'll have to hold onto these items for some sort of end-of-the-festival prize?? IDK probably not but still :V
(just a quick note I haven't really taken part in these Negg Festivals before, so I'm not really sure what to expect x3 )

I don't think I quite get what you mean by time based :o


Just thought that because she didn't want you to discard it, there could be some sort of special thing happening at the end of the festival if you still have the prize/junk items x3 I'm probably wrong though!

Also Icey, try in the Merry-Go-Round or other places on Roo Island!

So... are the mini neggs pretty much useless if we do not want to pay for the NC item? I'm holding onto mine until the end of the event, in case we can trade them for something, but still curious.

Merry Go Round did it. Didn't realize that's what you needed the NC Mall for.

You can collect the neggs whenever you want, but if you collect them on the neggs on their release days you'll receive a bonus prize

Ne, well you need to join the negg hunt first if you haven't yet done so & the negg is found somewhere on Roo Island, it's different for everybody I believe o: ~

Yeah I think I just misread what you wrote. I thought you meant that prizes changed at certain times or something...

I think the discard thing was just a joke considering players can buy these items and there would be no way to tell if it came from a shop or from the prize...

I don't think so, I worded it kind of confusingly so I changed it

There are 10 Plain Plastic neggs per day, collect them all for a bonus prize
I believe there will be only one mini negg per day that can be enlarged for a NC prize
So 3 different types of neggs to collect

If by "real" you mean the yurble janitor wearing wings to compete to see whose a better negg faerie then yes.

Looks the same as last year, search for a clue negg a day find all four and you choose a prize.

Ahh I thought there were only two types, because the mini looks exactly like the larger one. I get it now :p
