Since so maney ppl talk about viruses and what not, I made a official topic
so talk about it here, and no were else, u can basicly call me virus king, and ill help with ur questions and problems 
Along ti'me ago when I first started wit Norton, I didnt think it was good, u jus need to know how to go into safe mode and run a virus scan if it cant get rid of the virus in reg. mode, but id go with BitDefender and Norton now,
they dont because trouble with each other, (like detect each other as a virus) and I like those to the best, trojan remover finds a few things 
I use:

Norton Systemworks 2003
Trojan Remover 6.2.9
PC Cillin
Just to tell all u ppl, PC Cillin, BitDefender etc, are made by all the SAME ppl, ok ? I think they might have diff. amounts of virus defs and whatnot though, I like BitDefender though, for ppl who cant buy it, u dont need to, go to
http://bitdefender.com/ and run the online scan, it has all the virus defs, as the one u buy etc, I bought it anyway lol
For a PC Cillin online scan , go to http://housecall.trendmicro.com/
I don't know if it has all defs or not

What's a "Virus"?
Computer viruses are called viruses because they share some of the traits of biological viruses. A computer virus passes from computer to computer like a biological virus passes from person to person.
There are si'milarities at a deeper level, as well. A biological virus is not a living thing. A virus is a fragment of DNA inside a protective jacket. Unlike a cell, a virus has no way to do anything or to reproduce by itself -- it is not alive. Instead, a biological virus must inject its DNA into a cell. The viral DNA then uses the cell's existing machinery to reproduce itself. In some cases, the cell fills with new viral particles until it bursts, releasing the virus. In other cases, the new virus particles bud off the cell one at a ti'me, and the cell remains alive.
A computer virus shares some of these traits. A computer virus must piggyback on top of some other program or document in order to get executed. Once it is running, it is then able to infect other programs or documents. Obviously, the analogy between computer and biological viruses stretches things a bit, but there are enough si'milarities that the name sticks.

What is spyware?
Spyware is software that collects personal information from you without first letting you know what it's doing and without letting you decide whether this is OK or not. The information spyware collects can range from all the Web sites you visit to more sensitive information like usernames and passwords. You might be the target of spyware if you download music from file-sharing programs, free games from sites you don't trust, or other software programs from an unknown source.
What If I Agree To View Ads?
It's I'mportant to point out that are some situations in which the display of advertisements may benefit you. For example, you may be able to get a valuable service for free, such as internet access, if you agree to the display of advertisements during the use of that service.
Whether this is a fair deal is something you need to decide. What's I'mportant is that you are easily able to discover and understand the terms of that agreement and that you have the final say whether they are acceptable. You should be able to control what software runs on your computer.
once again, basicly its just pop ups, and things that annoy u, if u have pop ups, I either have spyware, or ur going to a dumb website lol um ya use a spyware Scanner to get rid of Spyware
