I am overwhelmed with all of the different pastries and baked things that I will have to learn. Sweeney tried to explain crumpets to me and it was a massive fail. Probably due to the fact that his best explanation was pretty much "crumpets aren't really like anything, you'll just have to eat them."

Mmmmm...~ It's kinda like a lightweight, super buttery, thick version of a crepe? I dunno how to explain it either, you'd really have to try one out!!
If there's some sort of British food store near you, they should have them there~ ^^

So it's an airy, fluffy biscuit? Whatever. I'll eat it with fried chicken and gravy.

Neither airy nor fluffy, they're actually quite dense (but springy). :p

Nah, it's a different texture! If you've had a crepe before, it's similar to that :3

Waaaaat. That's surprisingly close to how I feel about pancakes.

Soggy cuntwaffle. LOL

Yup. Still don't know who's is who's though. Seems like everyone is in on the act.

While we're discussing British foods:-

A drunken staple :)

EDIT: Was looking for their crumpet video so you could see how they're made to understand what they're like.

On the plus side, I definitely no longer have the problem that sparked this thread in the first place.

I appreciate Sweeney for providing plenty of laughs by either trolling, mocking or insulting slightly degenerate people.

Not a bad idea. I vote the thread title be changed to 'Sweeney appreciation thread.'

This was my best post ever.

I can't believe this isn't still talked about. Really, I outdid myself.

Oh, wait, wow. This...is kind of amazing, how the thread started and evolved from there.

Also. I never realised just how much Sweeney was a witty, entertaining and an all round good guy till now.
(yes i know it's been done before but y'know)

Oh, I see. With three you just get a bit of delay, noted.
