The Wheel of Monotony

"*YAWN* I guess you're here to try the Wheel, right? Well, go on... spin as hard as you can. While you wait for it to stop turning, why not pull up a chair, make yourself a cup of Rancid Dung Coffee, and read a book or something?

Cost: 150 NP"

==============================================================================================================================================================================

The Wheel of Monotony is located in the Tyrannian Plateau.

It costs 150NP to spin. It is usually worth the wait as prizes won are generally more than what you paid for for you to be able to spin the wheel.

You are only allowed to spin the wheel every 24 hours.

To the Wheel of Monotony!

Prizes:

1: A visit to the volcano.
2: A regular codestone.
3: A random Tyrannian weapon.
4: Wheel of Monotony avatar. (Avatar)
5: Tyrannian Petpet Paint Brush
6: A ticket for the Neopian Lottery.
7: Your active pet loses half its health.
8: Tyrannina Paint Brush (Worth ~190,000NP)
9: You win 5,000NP.
10: A random Tyrannian food item.
11: A random Monotony item*.
12: One of your pets' abilities is raised by one level. (One ability must be in the "active" state or nothing will happen.)
13: A red codestone.
14: A visit to the Lair of Beast.
15: A Tyrannian Petpet.
16: You win 20,000NP.

Compiling Prize Data:

I am compiling some prize data to hopefully get a better understanding of the odds of winning certain items.

If you would like to help, please post using this format:

Prize:
Estimated Time It Took:

The results will be compiled into an Excel file for any member to see.

Times:

There used to be a way to find out how much time you will take for the wheel to stop spinning. This has been patched by TNT.

Times usually range from ~30 mins to 2 hours.

However, when the Quiggle moves and looks at his watch, you are halfway to the end of your spin.

When you complete a spin and try to spin again, this is how he will look like:

Conclusion:

In conclusion, the Wheel of Monotony is a great place to make a decent profit if you have the time to spare.

You are still able to continue to explore Neopia when you are spinning the wheel, just remember to check back every now and then :)

Most items range from 200NP - 200,000NP.

Go spin the wheel now!

+REP me if I helped!
This is my first guide so don't be too harsh

I would like to thank JellyNeo for the prize list and image.

I get Lair of the beast about 85% of the time after waiting for a two hour spin.

Nice list, I am sure this will help those who did not know the list of prize possibilities.

This wheel is evil.

suggestions::

it would be nice if you took the time to procure your own screen shots
including images with the prize list

ascetics
Spoiler

also one other big issue
is that the links for the items lead to the JellyNeo Item database
you should have spent more time in your copy/paste and insured that those links instead go to our database

:)

Glad you enjoyed it.

I also updated all the links to go to Neocodex's item database instead of JellyNeo's one.

Nice guide, cheers.

One question. Are we still able to use the source code on the page to determine ahead of time what the prize will be? I know in the past you could, and so if it was garbage you could just X out and not worry about it. I stopped spinning this wheel when I got the avatar a year ago, or longer. Is this still an option? Thanks!

I think TNT patched it such that the source code for the wheel no longer shows the time and the item you are going to win.

What does this guide offer that isn't readily available on other Neopets fansites?

I think someone should make a guide containing links to guides on other sites. I will rep that person.

A noble thought to be sure but unfortunately a single post here couldn't possibly contain all of those elements. It would end up looking so choppy that it would ruin that guide.

Or one could just make it on pastebin and pass the link around when necessary.

Its a great guide, but its not special or anything :<
As Bone said, this guide offers nothing more than the other guides :(
Perhaps try one that doesnt exist else where

Are you serious?

Shh, you have to make exceptions for those who are born with less fortunate heads.

Yeah, I know what you guys mean.

I made this guide because on of my friends asked me what the Wheel of Monotony was for. He is quite the noob heh.

I am compiling some prize data and would like for some of you to post your results here after every spin.

Your help will be much appreciated :)
