Also this looks fucking spiffy! Since we're getting skins can we have name tags too?
E: also, how about upgrading the way the [code=auto:0] stuff gets formatted i.e. more language support.

I prefer the older layout. Could we get an option to switch layouts?
These are different versions of the IPB software. So I really doubt it...
Give it time it'll grow on you.
E: I've also noticed that you can filter which forums appear in the "New Content" feed. Pretty useful for users who don't follow neopets.

That's a wonderful feature. I've been waiting for it in IPB for years . So glad it's finally here!E: I've also noticed that you can filter which forums appear in the "New Content" feed. Pretty useful for users who don't follow neopets.
This one feature is worth the upgrade to me. The skin is a bit strange and will take some getting used to. Can't say I agree with IPS on the color scheme choices .

Yes, the skin definitely looks odd - and the Neocodex logo looks all lonely and out of place.

I appreciate a lot of the ajaxiness of the site -- makes the site feel super fast.Yes, the skin definitely looks odd - and the Neocodex logo looks all lonely and out of place.
I guess we'll just have to clean up some of this stuff as it comes up

Just noticed you cant see when the status update was posted (ex: 43 minutes ago) That sucks
Actually you can click on that users profile and view it that way.
Just click on the status: http://www.neocodex....tuses/id/57778/
This one is yours. You can see all the time stamps there.

What was that specifically?I can appreciate the effort you guys put into this, but it's a little cold and uninviting. I personally liked the old, warm feeling you got from the old site.

How can a forum be warm I just think we'll need a little time to get used to it then we'll forget the update even happened (like every single time facebook changes)

Well, the new one looks smart and tidy, whereas the old one was kind of 'dirty' and personalised with the status updates. The smarter it gets, the more official/efficient it looks, etc, will heighten standards and expectancy in most environments, which you could also associate (I certainly do) with a less fun and more restricted atmosphere. From that reasoning I derive how 'warm' or 'cold' pretty much anything is.
However, upon spending a little time here, the upgrades definitely are nice, and even a bit quaint. I hate mixed feelings.

We actually made a forum modification to do just that about 5 years ago, it seems IPB have just now caught up.

It might look better if the background of the logo was transparent.
