I can't help but think that the same people who exercise the report button frequently will use the negative rep feature in the same way.

Well, that's better than making tons of false reports.

So the limit for Negative Repping is 3 a day..? that's probably a good number but I've never been on a forum where this feature hasn't been abused even with limitations like this enabled

I personally wouldn't mind having the Positive Rep limit for each day increased by about 5 or so but I don't even use all of mine as it is now so I could really care less

I'm starting to build up a shitlist of people who seem like they're frivolously negative repping posts. Some of these posts, I have no idea why they're being -repped. Some I do though, those are fine. Day 1, so I'm not going to go nuts over it just yet. :p

I suggest that they slow down on downrepping random posts though, or I'll put their username on the list of people to blame for the system being removed. :p

Sorry. I really cant help but think this will be abused by noobs.

Is there anyway you guys can limit -rep to accounts that are a certain age or have reached a certain amount of posts?

Like...2 or 3 weeks old or 10-15 posts?

We'll have a look at the logs and decide on some restrictions. May as well wait and see what happens first.

You have reached your quota of positive votes for the day. Hmm first try.

Well I attempted to make someone feel positive today.

Word of day...POSITIVE!

For people who enjoy achievement, however pointless, it serves as a nice ego boost (unless they don't have much rep, then I guess it is motivation or fodder for self-loathing?). Your e-peen is bigger than mine, Sweeney, and for this I will envy you.

I am scared of Waser's massive member number

It's supposed to allow you to filter out useless posts automatically by people downvoting things they feel are useless or ignorant. We're trying to get the community to self-moderate.

Positive rep is just to make you feel good about yourself though :p.

Also agree about waser's huge manhood rep count.
