Ok so I asked a question like this via a status and need some more opinions...

Since my current mobile plan will be ending soon i'll be able to upgrade my plan and phone for free.

So i'm wondering if you have any ideas of which phone through optus would be the best choice

current phone: Samsung Galaxy S2.

I have the iPhone 4s. Before this I had a very old Motorola Slvr, so I got the IPhone on sale for $149. So far I have really enjoyed it and I've had it for a little over 2 weeks.

I have the iPhone as well. It's really between iPhone, Android, Blackberry, and Windows Phone. The Windows Phone looks pretty good actually :p. I might get it :p.

I consider myself somewhat of an Apple hater, but I'm going IPhone next time around. Haven't been satisfied with Android at all.

Can't go wrong with either phones:

Personally I'd take the One X over other phones any day since I'm an avid HTC user, but if you're upgrading from an S2 then the S3 would be a logical choice.

Good conversations to read, Iv'e had my eyes on the Note and some others too but I honestly suck when it comes to choosing phones.

I love how HTC builds their phones and the Material used for the One X feels amazing...

BUT I really don't know...

Can anyone show me down to earth Comparisons to the S3 and One X and a few other phones?

All the reviews i've watched are too picky and I want an average persons or normal persons opinion..

I'd go with Iphone, the main appeal to it is the apps, there are so many apps for it in contrast to android thus making you more connected to friends. I have so many friends with Iphone/Ipad when it comes to playing games, you compete against them which is extremely fun.

So your idea is to go to a more controlled phone structure? Makes sense :|

This.

I have a Blackberry, my husband has an Andriod. I hate both of them.
I'm buying my iPhone 4s this week, was going to be last week... but I bought a bike instead :3

I have been enjoying my iPhone! There are a lot of things I've had to get used to (obviously) since I went from a normal phone to this one. I haven't had any problems with it so far. There are so many things it's useful for, both for recreation and work. I got the white one but I made sure to get a case before I left the store because I have poop luck. Enjoy it! (:

This probably doesn't matter to most people, but what I found interesting about the One X is that the lock button is in a place where you hand naturally rests when you pick up the phone with one hand....Whereas on most phones when you hold it in one hand you have to reach over the curve in the top of the phone to reach it and it's really awkward...

Besides that, though, HTC has some really innovative stuff in their new line. Capture video and take pictures at the same time. A majorly lighter interface. You should check out the HTC One X page on HTC's site for more info.

TBH, Android is obviously the best OS out there. There's a lot more competition in the Android phone market, which means that companies are constantly trying to top other companies and make their products better and better. Everything you want on the iPhone, the Android can do too. Dual core, voice commands, 8MP camera, social networking, plus a lot of stuff the iPhone CAN'T do like widgets, 4G speeds, keyboard and OS flexibility, and bigger screens. Obviously iPhones have better app selection, but that's just because Apple people have a lot better dev tools. If you want a phone you can pick up and start using immediately, though, you should probably pick iPhone. Android is better, but it takes a bit of figuring out.

Anyways, good luck on your search, I hope I've helped a little!

I went with the s3, primarily because of it's ability to incorporate flash player so I could watch videos on the go.
